I honestly could not recommend this salon enough.
After calling them the day of for an emergency appointment due to a disaster of an attempt to fix my gone wrong hair they were amazing to say the least.
They managed to squeeze me into an already full booked day with ease. When I arrived I don't think any of the ladies were expecting my hair to be as violently horrendous as it was. They clubbed together and tackled it head on.
They have a warming welcome were nothing is to much trouble. Even letting me use their phone as mine was out of battery. Needless to say at the end of my appointment I walked out of the salon a new women inside and out. Certainly not the blubbering mess I walked in as.
I will definitely be returning. The Cappuccino is enough to go back for in it self.

I've been going to Mane for over a decade, it's a friendly, comfortable environment with just the right mix of energy, customer focus and relaxed atmosphere.
The staff really listen when you have specific requirements but are equally happy to guide you when you're not quite sure what you want.
I have previously tried many salons in Bristol but so glad I found Sadie at Mane, she is brilliant would not want to go anywhere else.

I went to Mane for the first time last week. When I arrived all the staff were friendly and attentive, I had a chat with the stylist that was doing my hair and was then sent through to have my hair washed by someone else. Unfortunately this was where my experience turned from good to bad, the person washing my hair basically marched up, didn't introduce herself or say and word and basically dragged my head back to wash my hair. Didn't once ask if the temperature of the water was ok or anything, in fact didn't say anything at all! The hair wash was terrible, it probably lasted about 5 minutes and I was seething the whole time, the lady barely touched my head let alone wash it, I had about a five second head massage (if you can call it that) and was then basically grunted to go and sit back through where the stylist was. Ultimately I left with a hair style that I love, the stylist was great, chatty and knew what she was doing but because of the other worker it would probably put me off
I've been going to Mane since they opened in the early 2000s and the 'super Sadie' has been doing my hair since then. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Today I had Angel colour my hair, with a blow dry from Jack (Sadie is always busy if you don't book in advance!). Both were, as you would expect from Mane, fabulous! The team are always welcoming and every aspect excellent.
Always friendly, always helpful and accommodating and always happy with the result.
Sometimes wish the hair washing part would go on for longer. Perhaps you could have a de-lux hair wash option with extra head massage !!!
The best salon ever, I cannot recommend any other that offers true professionals at work who deliver fantastic results that exceed your expectations and great team atmosphere, great location and easy parking even if a longer appt, or sainsbury's car park £5 for 5 hours (that's nothing for great hair!!!)
For a couple of years now I have been impressed by the highly professional service offered by Mane where I have my hair cut with Jack. But today I also booked to have highlights done and am extremely happy with the hard work carried out by Angel. Thank you both for stunning result! I've tried other salons in Bristol especially as I now live the other side of Bristol but I always return to mane... I won't go anywhere else now! Friendly staff, great service and exceptional quality cuts!
This was my first experience of a hairdressing salon in many years after a horrible experience elsewhere and thus only letting my mum touch my hair since...!
I have naturally dark blonde hair and had used home highlighting kits to try and go lighter but this ended up going quite yellow and brassy... I wanted to go super light and natural looking.
I had a colour consultation during which my expectations were managed and I was told that due to the damaged state of my hair it might not be possible to get the exact colour I was after... I was disappointed but it's definitely better to be prepared and then be pleasantly surprised!!
I had a full head of highlights followed by a toner and then a trim and blow dry.. A few minutes into the blow dry it was clear that the colour was exactly the one I had been hoping for! I was thrilled and couldn't keep the smile off my face. Tanya gave me a beautiful blow dry and a trim and I left feeling a million dollars!
Louise and Jack did a great job this morning, I left feeling fabulous and glamorous. I've been a Mane customer for the last 5 years and they've never let me down. Always a great friendly service and all of the staff are lovely. I highly recommend Mane and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been to lots of salons over the years but now that I have found Mane U do not intend to go anywhere else. Sadie is great I have never had such a great cut and have great confidence in her advice and ideas when looking to change style or colour.
Booked in with Sadie after a long break. Sadie used to cut my late mother's hair and my son's hair and i have recommended her to my friends. We all agree that she is AMAZING!! I walked in feeling dreadful in urgent need of anuplift! 45 mins later i looked and felt like a new woman thanks to Sadie's skillful cutting and blow dry. Sadie has a lovely aura and is always a pleasure to have a chat and a laugh with. Great all round experience!!!

Everyone makes mistakes, I accept that. However a very passive-aggressive, blonde kiwi woman in this salon didn't apologise or acknowledge her mistake she'd made with my highlights. She too cautiously covered most of my hair with too dark a shade. I forgave her initially because after I'd explained the previous "bright latinum white" disaster I'd experienced there last year, she too cautiously covered me in a dark shade.
For a whopping £80 however I couldn't see any highlights when I got home! Flat, dark and horrible.
I felt awful having to go back (again), I was very polite and apologetic. The woman was immediately defensive and despite her male colleague saying that it did look too dark, flat and not enough highlights had been added. She never once apologised.
The day I went in to have it corrected she seethingly smiled through gritted teeth and slapped on the dye. I felt uncomfortable and upset as there was (still) no apology or acknowledgement that she had made a mistake. Th
Gemma's cut my hair twice now and both times it's been perfect. Today I went from hair half way down my back to Michelle Williams short and I love it :) Thank you!

The style I most wanted to avoid (triangular looking shorter hair due my curly ends) is exactly what I now have. A combination of pinning and buns until it grows back! Would not recommend - all the staff were however very lovely.
I'm really pleased with my hair. Casey listened carefully about what I wanted. My hair often goes to dark or too warm with certain colours but she got it just right. The cut is also the best ive had in years. The treatment put on my hair has left my hair V shiny. I also appreciated the offer that was on (free cut and blow dry). Thanks Casey, see you again soon :)
Sadie is the reason why I've been coming to Mane for 10 years. She cuts my hair with precision every time and it looks amazing ! She has such a talent!
As some with wild curls, having my haircut can frequently be an unpleasant experience. I've had very expensive hair cuts where I've left the place with one side of my hair a good inch shorter than the other (brilliant thanks Hobbs) or had to sit there for an hour while someone tells me the best thing I could do with my hair is put it into dreadlocks (fair enough if that's your thing but it ain't mine). At mane I genuinely got the impression the staff new exactly what they were doing and weren't faised by a true mane. I've left with the most incredible cut and blow dry and now cannot stop looking in the mirror. Thank you Casey!
Having had a baby earlier this year I desperately needed a restyle and was also in dire need of some pampering. I was overwhelmed by the professionalism but friendliness and warnth from all the staff, particularly as I was a bit nervous going to a new salon. The whole experience restored not only my look but my confidence I would highly reccomemd mane, thank you for your expertise and patience!
