My first and last visit! Never again!

It was my first time visiting a toni and guy. I thought i would treat myself before my up and coming wedding which was a few weeks away. I went in for a full head of highlights and a cut & blow dry ladies. I arrived 5-10 mins before my appointment which was at 12:45 only to be told my stylist was running a bit late, which turned out to 30mins!. I told and showed the stylist what i wanted which was a v cut with layers and for my hair to be thinned out as it is very thick and that i didn't want any blunt/straight ends. The end result was very disappointing. I ended up with everything i told the stylist i didn't want. i had already been there for 3hours plus and just wanted to leave. The highlights came out great but ultimately the cut had ruined my whole experience and as a result i will never visit there again. It was a waste of my money.

Very happy with the cut, as always, but the atmosphere is sadly lacking. Hair not cleared away from chairs or the floor properly and a general feeling that nobody really cares about the customer experience.

As a new client I didn’t know what to expect but was really happy with Marissa’s service and overall cut and blow dry. It’s obvious Marissa is passionate about her job and listened to what I wanted, whilst also inspiring me to do something a bit different. The receptionist was also knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, encouraging me to rebook for 6 weeks time. The only thing that would take this from a 4* to a 5* is ensuring the whole team are creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. A couple looked like they didn’t want to be there and body language is important to monitor. Nothing should be too much trouble to keep the customer happy and loyal. I felt a bit of a burden accepting the offer for a refreshment, which was an after thought from someone else asking for a drink. Overall, great value for money and would definitely return to Marissa.
