First time client with house of hair and I am so glad I found them Vanessa made me feel so comfortable and gave me advice and tips for me and my daughter she cut both of our hair. Combining her expertise and what we wanted we left very happy and we will definitely be back soon !

Always excellent service, all the staff are super friendly and welcoming and Jelena is a true professional. Explains exactly what she is doing and ensures a great end result.

Jelena is one of the most talented hairstylists I have ever met. My hair has never looked better and the copper undertone tone she uses is just perfection. It’s taken me 8 years to find a hairstylist that I connect with and one that always gives me a 10/10 style! Although I am moving all the way to Manchester I will be travelling down to get my hair. Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great first meeting with Jelena for a colour consultation. The salon and stylists really put themselves out well on social media which is how I came across the salon and Jelena in particular. In person, she is even better! So easy to talk to, caring and totally understood what I was hoping to achieve with my hair. She also suggested colouring techniques that would be good for me, explaining and also showing me videos so I fully understood. She is incredible empathetic and didn’t make me feel silly for being nervous, having not been to a hairdressers in over 7 years! I’m booked in for my hair colour next week and I’m excited knowing I’ll be in safe hands!

James was amazing , such clear communication. Made me feel super comfortable and confident in what he was doing to my hair. My hair looks the best it ever has! He made sure i was happy throughout the service and made sure i understood what he was doing.

Everything about this salon is amazing. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, Vanessa knew what she was talking about and gave me some advice on hair care which I will definitely be using in the future. As a first time colour experience I thought it was amazing - she gave me just enough to show a change but not so much that it was daunting. She also fixed the fact I had been cutting my own hair for the past five years. Thank you all so much :)) xx

This salon has gone through quite a transformation from power cuts,and now called house of hair.Every time you go there you always get offered a free cup of tea or coffee and always a lovely chat about anything that you like to talk about it's like having therapy, great place to be

First time here. Went for a wash & blow dry. Currently using walking aids due to a bad back and I was made to feel very welcome and my comfort was top priority. Even made sure I had comfy cushions to support my back when sat in the chair. Hair felt amazing and curls have even lasted me into the next day. Have already booked to come back next week. had a balayage done today and was nervous at first because i had box dyed it previously, so was not expecting to love the results - but james was absolutely incredible and im SO happy with how it turned out - cannot recommend enough !!

Today was my first time seeing Lacey after the lovely Holly has gone on mat leave. I am so impressed with Lacey’s care, advice, skill and professionalism - she knew exactly what I needed and I love her tape placement and attention to detail. Super friendly lovely girl - looking forward to my next visit!

Vanessa is such a lovely person and she gave lots of fantastic tips on how to wash, condition and style my hair. I'm so glad I have found her as she was one of the best at her last hairdressers in Harpenden.

Vanessa was brilliant and gave some great advice on hair care and suggestions for low lights at my next appointment. She did a lovely root melt and toned my hair to a lovely creamy shade. I had such a great experience finally visiting a stylist after an at home bleach. James did a great job, making sure we were on the same page about every treatment and colour and the final result was so beautiful.

I am a regular at the salon and always feel welcome and looked after. I have always walked out of the salon feeling great and appreciate the time taken to know my needs . It's really accessible with public parking and transport links just around the corner.

Hayden cuts my hair very well and he knows how to handle my hair and he knows what to do with it.

After looking online at the stylists and asking who would be best for a ‘hair up’ I decided on a stylist.
I arrived at the salon with my friend who had booked a ‘curly blow dry’
I explained what it was I wanted.
And the stylist set to work.
They suggested a few ideas and I went
With it. I had a curly blow dry the day before, but had obviously slept in my hair so it wasn’t as curly, stylist added some curls. Great.
It took around half an hour, we tweaked it a little, and over all I was happy with it although not quite like what I’d shown in a picture it was still nice.

When I came to pay I was charged nearly £60.
It states online prices from £27.50 then you chose the stylist (£37.50)
So I was a little taken back by paying almost double for an ok hair up that only took half an hour.

This wasn’t wedding hair up, and wasn’t overly complicated so I was quite disappointed at not only the price, but lack
Of explanation of the price that was charged.

Good treatment and very polite.
