Muir & Kerr the Hairdressers

Im not one to complain but I had heard of this salon a few times and decided to get my hair dyed there. It wasn't the most welcoming salon, I felt as though I was being looked at as if I was lost... everything else went well I was offered tea or coffee which was lovely, I'm happy with my hair but the amount of hair dye left on my forehead has caused a reaction as it didn't come off in the shower and started peeling, it now looks like I've got dandruff and it really uncomfortable. not to mention I looked a bit silly walking out the salon. Overall, I wasn't completely unhappy with the service but I don't think ill be going back as I feel that things as simple as this shouldn't be happening when you are paying for a service.

I had a very successful haircut and colour with Jane. I came away from the salon feeling really pleased with what she did. She really listened to the type of Bob cut I needed and did a fantastic job. Exactly what I wanted, a lot shorter with choppy layers and lovely highlights to finish it off. Very happy and will definitely book with Jane again.

For all my natural curlies out there - I know your struggle. Not all salons get it right but this one definitely did! Becky washed my hair with the right products and Ed knew instinctively what I was looking for and cut, layered and styled my curly hair skillfully. He knows how to work with what you have and enhance the natural beauty. Will be making this my regular salon from now on x

Robin is a superb stylist and has cut me a short hairstyle which is really beautiful

I didn’t have time to visit my usual hairdresser in London and happened upon Muir & Kerr whilst in Cambridge. I popped in on the off chance they might be able to fit me in and was met by the salon reception staff who were very polite and professional. When they discovered I wanted highlights, I was given advice by the stylist, and staff ensured I was given a patch test, refusing my immediate appointment request until they were certain it was safe. I fully appreciated this and my hair appointment, after the appropriate and negative patch test!, was a stress free and lovely experience. Robin, my stylist, was extremely personable and he assessed my hair, taking note of my usual style and highlights, proceeding to give me an excellent tidy up cut as well. The actual highlight for me was the amazing head massage during the conditioning stage, which rid me of a migraine I had wrestled with all day! Thank you Robin and team I love my cut and colour ❣️

On a lovely sunny morning, I had a great cut and interesting conversation with Robi today.

Missy has done another beautiful job with my hair, she advised me and helped me decide what’s the best option for my hair!
Professional, experienced and patient, Missy’s final result is spectacular, from now on I know that I found the right person to take care of my hair and ultimately extending to a happy me!

Very good and friendly service from Caitland today when cutting my hair! I always like to ask for the hairdressers opinion on how I should have things and the response I always get is “it’s your hair” but caitland gave me her opinion and advice and I very much appreciated that! :) my hair cut is lovely and so are the staff in there, I’ll definitely be making this my regular hairdressers

I am very happy with the colour and cut that I get at Muir and Kerr Milton Road. I have never found a hairdresser that is as consistently good before so I am happy to recommend them. Also, a very friendly salon.

I had such a great experience with Robin today. He took the time to ask lots of questions to ensure that he gave me the haircut that I wanted. He was very thorough and even showed me the best way to style my hair and what products to use ! I was really really pleased with my new hair !

Another visit today to M&K proved once again that Jane is my bestie when it comes to my hair. I've been going there for over 10 years we worked out today, and I'm still reassured by her knowledge and expertise. Colour test required previous to my appointment meant that we could proceed and my hair feels soft, bouncy and colour restored to my lions mane and istamed for a few more weeks. Thanks ?

Feeling frumpy and old I took a trip to Muir and Kerr. I saw Robin my usual stylist and told him my woes. He suggested I put my trust in him to liven up my hair style and I did. I was a little nervous but the out come was fantastic. The cut is fresh and can be worn in many ways. Fantastic stylist, fantastic guy and we put the world to rights. Love it!

I took my daughter for her first hair cut in ages due the pandemic. Everyone had masks so we felt really safe and it was very welcoming. The stylist helped find a style that would suit her and gave great advice, then gave a really great hair cut. We were so pleased with it. Thanks so much. We'll definitely come back.
