Nice and relaxing me time

Wish haircut took longer so I could talk to ollie more, he's always so kind and thoughtful. He always does my hair perfectly.

I go to hairdressers through necessity, not choice. I just don't like it. Until now. Ollie made the whole experience enjoyable. He made me feel welcome and didn't just asked me what I want but discussed it with me until we were both clear what was expected. The outcome was perfect. I felt like I'd had a special treat and will definitely go again.

I always feel so relaxed when I come here and I find Laura so easy to talk to which makes me feel comfortable. Lovely lady and overall positive experience every time.

I recently visited Pkai Hair for balayage maintenance and wanted to say thank you to the team. Laura, who did my colour, had a really skilled technique and made me feel very comfortable throughout.

Big thanks to Luca for fitting me in at short notice for a colour correction—she understood exactly what needed doing and was great company too, which made the appointment really easy.

Also, thanks to Megan for helping organise everything.

Megan had never met me before but was so friendly and knowledgeable. She really took time to talk to me about what I wanted and how my curly hair might sit if we took it too short too soon. She didn’t make me feel rushed or bothersome when we kept stopping to check length and I asked to go a bit more. Megan is a beautiful person and an absolute credit to the salon.

I booked Sally as she did a good job when I tried her for the first time two months ago. Today’s haircut is even better as she’s becoming familiar with my hair and style. She listened to my requests and I was pleased with the results and will book with her again for my next haircut.

When we arrived we were greeted and taken to the waiting area and offered a drink. Then Megan came over and introduced herself. She listened and done an amazing job, I'll be back in 4 weeks for a full head of colour if I don't react to the skin test 1st.

Leah was amazing. from the start she was helpful and advising me on services I didn’t know were available (such as toner top ups), but when I had to rush out because I needed to get home to my baby she was fantastic and made me feel so at ease about needing to leave and helped me every step of the way. I absolutely will be booking in with Leah again, thank you for making a stressful situation a little less so!

Another very successful haircut with Shaun . Nice to find another hairdresser that really understands thick , heavy hair at this busy salon. Especially as my usual hairdresser, Kai is just so busy and hard to book on Wednesday ( Grey cuts day) . Thnx Shaun PKai’s is ! Still my favourite hairdressers . Been coming since 2006, and now moved to London, but I still travel up to use them !💕

Leah did my hair today. Absolutely love it. Her knowledge and professionalism were absolutely outstanding. Couldn’t be anymore happier.

I went to this salon for a haircut for my 9-year-old daughter. Both of us had agreed on a reference picture and showed it to the stylist before starting. While my daughter initially asked for just a trim, I expressed concerns about her not being able to manage her hair properly, and requested a slightly more practical cut.

Unfortunately, she seemed more focused on sticking to the child’s preference, without considering the context or offering professional guidance. She did a minimal trim and quickly wrapped up the job. When I politely asked for a little more trimming—as per the style we had both agreed on—things started to feel uncomfortable. The stylist and staff began reacting as if I was being overly demanding, creating an unnecessary scene in the salon.

Later, a senior stylist stepped in, but instead of properly addressing the haircut, he just snipped a few strands here and there unevenly, which left the hair looking puffy and unshaped. The whole situation felt very dismissive and intimidating, especially for a parent just trying to ensure a neat and manageable haircut for her child.

I expected a more professional and understanding approach, especially when both the child and parent had agreed on the hairstyle. Sadly, the experience felt rushed, unprofessional, and quite disappointing.

As always ollie is attentive and listens to what I want and I leave feeling really happy. Today he offered me a new service which I absolutely loved.

Megan was brilliant from start to finish with my neurodiverse daughter. She instantly made her feel at ease by coming over to the relaxed lounge area and sitting to my daughter’s level and talking about her hair and what she would like before taking her to wash her hair. She thought about all the noises and feelings that my daughter might not like and had an answer to anything that could have affected (cotton wool for her ears and making her aware whenever she was going to touch her face with the scissors or her hand etc) she asked her consistently if she was feeling ok checking the temperature of water and the noise and feelings. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for her first time in a salon. Oakley absolutely loves her hair and was made to feel very important and special and like she in control of what Megan was doing. The overall cut is a little shorter one side than the other if I’m being completely honest but I cannot fault the exceptional service. We will definitely be back
