Blow dry

First time at the salon and everyone was really friendly. I booked a blow dry and had *****. ***** was super friendly and really pleasant so I couldn’t have been more delighted when I met him. I was going to the races and requested a blow dry with lots of movement. I have long, thick curly hair that looks absolutely fabulous when worked by a professional. ***** really struggled with my hair from the work go. There wasn’t the typical tension when he blow dried my hair, and because I wasn’t in front of a mirror I could even see how it was progressing. When he finished blow dry, the hair was all fluffy and straight. An option would have been to leave the brushes in my hair as he worked through the blow dry to give that movement I was after. After the blow dry, he processed to straighten my hair, and curl the hands using the straighteners. Again the curl wasn’t well define, so within minutes and whilst still at the hairdresser I had lost all curl and movement. I lovely colleague offer to help (as I needed help with my races hat, something that ***** was inexperienced with) and she was lovely and very experienced. She placed my hat, and then I asked ***** to redo my curls, which were non existent by now. He did again, but I am afraid to say, within 5 minutes of leaving the hairdresser they had disappeared and I look like a wet mop. I paid £32 and I can honestly say I would have done a better job at home curling my hair with my GHD tongs, brush through them and create movement that way. So overall, the salon was super friendly, lots of really experienced staff (I could see some fabulous hair dos around me) but I totally think ***** needs further training before put in front of paying clients.
