I have been visiting Vain for a couple of years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Siobhan my stylist is fantastic as are all the staff. The quirky decor makes a refreshing change to other salons and the addition of Edie and Peggy the pooches make Vain a great place.
First time at Vain yesterday and I will be returning for sure!!, I was a little concerned before going that it would be too cool and trendy for me, but it was great, fab atmosphere and very welcoming. Had the best cut I've ever had off Jemma, felt she understood what I needed and didn't rush at all.
Jolene listens to me and interprets exactly what I want.

The colours perfect and love the finish, I don't have my hair done that often but when I do we always have a good goss and she always does my hair just how I want it.

I've been coming to VAIN now for years and it's just the greatest place to visit! The team are all so welcoming and clearly enjoy what they do as there is a real buzz when you arrive at the top of the stairs. It's such a relaxing place with the best music and yummy refreshments. Jemma did a fantastic job cutting my hair again and I absolutely love it ?

Almost don't want to leave a review as I consider vain as a hidden gem in Chester that I don't want to change. The whole ethos that Jolene has set up is great. Everyone feels at ease. Stylists are all great. No hard sell, just hard working people who are open & honest.

Vain is the most unique hair experience I have ever had. The environment is quirky, kooky, artisan.. from the old style cinema chairs and wide screen TV in reception playing DVDs of classic films to the individual cup and saucers and a chocolate bourbon to go with your tea or cafetière. It's completely different from any other high street salon...all the furniture is individual and retro and there's an interesting display of funky wall art. But despite the cool surroundings, all of the team at Vain are incredibly friendly and welcoming and make you feel truly valued. It all adds to the relaxing atmosphere. As for the finished product! Well you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere that beats Vain on quality and value for money. I am always one hundred percent confident that I will get a highly professional cut, colour and finish that makes me feel that magic has been worked but doesn't break the bank. I haven't as yet booked in for any of the beauty treatments but it's something I'm planning on.
