Okay! Leaving an honest review. I have just recently moved to the area, from Manchester. My second home is my hairdressers! Love nothing more than a Friday blow dry for the weekend. More importantly my colour has to be spot on. I can’t travel back to my salon in Manchester, where I’ve been a loyal customer for 19 years.
So, I’m on the hunt for my new salon. I’ve visited Tarporley a few times and came across this stylish looking salon!! I booked an online appointment with Tom, just for a blow dry as I saw from his profile he was a colour expert - fab!!!
I arrived at the Salon and was greeted by a nice receptionist. Then seated, greeted by a nice young girl. Hang on where’s Tom? I thought she would gown me up, wash my hair and then I would be with the stylist I’d booked. Nope, my hair was done by the young girl. Whilst she did a good job (my hair is thick and curly, I like it poker straight!) which is why I pay more for a stylist. I absolutely do not like to book an appointment with a stylist to have someone else carry out the appointment. At no point was there an explanation or apology for the change?? In fact not even eye contact. I overheard another conversation that there had been a mix up on the system, so the lady next to me, who I presume was a regular wasn’t booked in for some reason and she got my slot with Tom (as it appeared!?)
I was disappointed as I wanted to chat with him about my hair colouring for my next appointment. You’ve missed out on a very loyal customer! All customers should matter,.
I’ve give 1* for service based on the above.
