Medusa Hair Salon Stockbridge, Edinburgh

Chloe has been doing my hair for a few years now and each time, she does the best job, when I first started seeing Chloe my hair was damaged and she recommended products to help and now my hair is healthy !! When she does my colour it always turn out better than expected and I always get so many compliments on it. I recommend booking in with Chloe as she makes you feel comfortable, helps you if you have any questions or are unsure of something and most of all because her service is amazing.

I have been a regular client of Peter’s for over 7 years, he is never complacent and always finds away to change my style and reinvent me time and time again, he is an outstanding stylist and an all round great guy.

Today I went to cut my hair for the first time at Medusa. My stylist was Nicola. She was very friendly and kind. I was so happy by the result. She is an experienced professional 👍

I’ve been looking for a hairdresser in Edinburgh for a while now and been nervous about the switch but Kayleigh made me feel super comfortable and confident choosing her. She showed me previous copper colours she’s done which made me excited for the results!

Kayleigh talked through what she was doing and discussed future colour options. Obsessed with the cut and colour!

She was kind but I’m disappointed with the result.

I have very long and thick hair, however Chantelle dealt with it very well, and my hair looks and feels amazing. The cut I asked for was achieved, and curls were stunning. Also gave me tips when straightening my hair which I found very useful.

I've never reviewed a haircut before. I had this haircut in November 23 and just back from a different hairdresser. The haircut I got in November at Medusa Stockbridge was the worst haircut and style of my life and I'm in my 50s. It was squint and pointed it out at least 3 times another hairdresser came over to assure me it wasn't. I asked for an undercut and she shaved it in a straight line. I got my haircut for my mum’s funeral, it was just shocking and worse people even said “oh my” when they saw it. I know it's a bit passive aggressive leaving a terrible review and so late but I was too upset to be assertive at the time - I did about the squint bit but they persuaded me it wasn't. I just can't express how happy I was with the hairdresser I was with today not in the Medusa chain.

Kayleigh was so lovely and everyone in the salon was super nice. I had such a wonderful experience with a quite out there cut and colour. Checking in whisky I processed from both bleach and colour were great and not overbearing. It was a beautiful space and I learnt a lot on how to do my hair at home too as I am slightly in experienced with styling with a shag cut. I'm super happy with the results and my appointment, highly recommend.
