As someone who is heavily pregnant and by that I mean 38.5 weeks I phoned up and mentioned I will be around 10 mins late the waxer still told me to come in and she said she can see what she can do. I showed up exactly 8 mins late and refused service because I was late!!! Which I literally mentioned to her over the phone I would be then very easily says oh you can walk over to Lothian road to get another appointment.
In my head I'm thinking can she not see that I'm already struggling to walk and I kid you not she said
"it's not long walk for you it may be only 15 mins"
15 mins for someone who is heavily pregnant and is suffering from severe pelvis pain umm IS ALOT. Very very disappointing went somewhere else and told them about the service I got and they were even shocked about how uncaring they are. They have lost a customer would never recommend this place don't tell someone to "come in and we can see what we can do" then waste my time for nothing especially when vulnerable. Would rate 0 stars if cold never had bad service like this before but after today I'm never returning
The Wax Bar is a small salon tucked away on Rose Street. I'm not from Edinburgh, and it took a few minutes to locate. I arrived 7 minutes after my 10am appointment, which was for a 1 hour + slot. I was informed that I'd missed my appointment as a consequence. I explained that it had taken me a few minutes to locate the salon as I was unfamiliar with it, so this seemed a little harsh. The woman said 'I know, but we're short of therapists and you weren't here at 10'. Make of that what you will. I was late - but the fact that I wasn't even offered one of my treatments seems highly unprofessional.
Cant believe no-one has reviewed this amazing salon yet! I have been going here for the past year for waxing, brows and nails and the service I receive every time is second to none. All of the girls are so lovely, professional and most importantly amazing at their job! For what can be embarrassing and daunting treatments, they make you feel so at ease and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!!
