Byers & Birrell

I have been going to Byers & Birrell for my cut and colour for a while now and cannot recommend them highly enough. Amanda is amazing at delivering what you want! I have previously used other high end Glasgow salons but B&B is above and beyond.... lovely staff and lovely coffee too!

Been coming here for nearly 15 years and the salon has a lovely friendly and professional vibe. You feel you are being looked after by the best.

You don't need to look anywhere else once you visit this fabulous salon. I am fussy however Derek works miracles and I would never go anywhere else. Customer service is high on the agenda and you get a very warm welcome when you first set foot in Byers & Birrell . Derek treats you like a long lost friend and everyone who works there is always extremely pleasant with a smile on their face. Therefore give it a go and you won't be disappointed ;)

Was in for an early appointment today and as usual have come away completely satisfied. Nicola always explains exactly what she's going to do with my colour, why and what results I will get. Every single visit is tailored to my hair's colour and condition. Bespoke service everytime cannot ask for better service

From the minute you walk in the door until you leave you are spoiled with great service. Extremely knowledgeable team who take the time to understand what you need with a lovely atmosphere. Colour and cut as always was perfect!

Derek has been tending to my hair since circa 1992 before and during Byers & Birrell life where I have also been attended very well to by Elise on many occasion also.
Professional and friendly service but I have to add that they’re like a family also,... most welcoming.
A lovely place to go and I also speak on my mother’s behalf as she probably visits on a weekly occurrence and enjoys every trip there.
Can’t say anymore than that. A+

After bouncing around Salons in both Edinburgh and Glasgow I’m now a loyal customer of this great Salon. Delighted with my hair. Both Lisa and Emma are professional and experts when it comes to hair. Their suggestions have been brilliant and i am so happy with my hair. The salon itself is professionally run and a very relaxing experience.

Have been getting my hair coloured and cut by Elise for years. She’s always friendly, professional and great at getting my colour right. All the staff are lovely and good and the salon is immaculate (and always has good music).

Absolutely awful, it cost me £140 to get my hair died blonde. They burnt off the top layer of hair on my head and knew when they were drying it that they had done it as you can see it in the ‘after’ picture in the salon. I went back in to the salon and they refused to give me my £140 and said they would give me free hair treatments (not including Olaplex or anything that would help). However after 4 treatments the hairdresser Lisa said that she would have to start charging me for them as her manager wouldn’t give her into trouble even though she BURNT my hair off. Absolutely shocking hairdressing, customer service & overall professionalism. I would strongly advise staying well away from them.

I love this salon and Nicola who does my hair is brilliant. I’ve just come out feeling a million dollars! I’ve been going to Nicola for many years and can’t imagine moving. Personable, sensitive, caring and creative.

Bad experience . Stylist seems unable to cut basic layers .. hair was uneven and had to go to another hairdresser to have this corrected .. waste of money .

Not impressed .. layers uneven . Had to go to another salon to get it sorted. Very inconvenient as had a wedding to go to .

Staff all seeme pleasant enough but when I left the salon I noticed my layers were uneven - not a good look ! The least I would expect is tha capability to cut layers evenly . At these prices I would expect a lot more .Its not cheap

Cant believe its 15 years since you opened in Crow Road and the thick end of 30 years you've been cutting my hair. Love the refurb and see you in a few weeks.

I had a blow dry to go to my 6th year dance. I have very curly hair and wanted it smooth with a wave. Zoe was so friendly and did a great job doing exactly what I wanted. I'm really happy with how it looks.

I had my hair coloured today by Amanda st Byres & Birrell. As usual all the staff are very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The place looks great after a major refurb and there are the usual offers of a selection of coffee, tea and up-to-date magazines. The productes they use are all if high quality. I love going.

Both of us liked very much the changes to the Salon and in particular the comfort of the new chairs.
I also felt that new lower reception desk was more friendly creating less of a barrier.
They say that "People make Glasgow " and that is true for Buyers and Birrell. I hope that everyone at B& B enjoys the changes and continue to make B& B the success it is.

I've been a customer for almost 10yrs and can't fault the level of service and expertise. A special mention for Elise who has the came to my rescue on numerous occasions for her colouring skills. I unique would be lost without her!!
