I visited 'Inkfish' today for a cut and hi-lights. I opted for a trainee 'Mike' to keep the cost down. The result was excellent, the cut and colour was well supervised and I am really pleased with the finished look.
The salon is professionally run, a nice friendly welcome awaits and there is a nice atmosphere in the busy salon. The treatment did take a little longer with 'Mike' the apprentice but I was aware this would be the case and was more than happy to spend a relaxing afternoon there.

Had my hair cut today with Sophie would like to say I'm extremely delighted with it ...one happy customer see you all again very soon ..highly recommend this company if you want great service friendly staff !!

I'm thrilled with my stylist; Lisa Kevern, she really listened to what I wanted and my blow dry is fabulous and I feel amazing. The colour she chose for me is perfect. I will definitely be going back I love my hair and the staff were really nice and welcoming. I'm a very happy girl!!!

First time at Inkfish. I was made very welcome. Stylist listened as well as advised. She took care to style my hair beautifully and I didn't feel rushed. A great experience I will definitely be revisiting.

I managed to have my hair cut, just before Christmas. The staff were really friendly and my stylist, Beth suggested that I try a new style and she did a very good job. I was really pleased with it and I will definetly ask for her next time. I liked the layout of the salon and found it very relaxing.

I am a lover of massages and over the years I have had a few but this has to rate as one of the best!! I have been suffering from lower back ache for a couple of months now and for the first time this morning I have got up out of bed without any pain whatsoever and that's down to Sarah!! I cannot recommend this lady enough, she is amazing!!! All of the staff here are lovely, helpful and attentive. I drive a 35 mile round trip to my appointments at this salon because I don't believe that there is one better in this area!!

Having missed my last appointment through illness, the girls at Inkfish were absolutely great about finding a slot for me before Christmas. Such service. Vidette, as always, was brilliant, knowing exactly what I want when I'm too tired to explain clearly, and everyone is so pleasant, despite the seasonal rush. Would not go to anyone else.

Amazing colour and cut by Kate! I walked in with a home kit colour gone wrong, Kate spent 6 hours with me to re-colour my straw like mess to a more natural tone, over the moon with it! Thankyou for your hard work! Lovely salon and friendly staff.

Another great experience today, thanks to Max. I have finally transferred my haircutting allegiance 100 miles nearer my home - I spent two years travelling back to my old home to have my hair cut and now I don't need to any more! Max's skills with unruly curls are awesome :)

We visited Inkfish today with my mother who has dementia it was difficult to persuade her to go as she has a fear of hairdressers but I think our hairdresser called Tammy was very reassuring and made us so welcome my dad and my four children stayed as it took all our persuasion to get mum to stay but she came out looking ten years younger thank you so much we will be back mum and dad live in York but will visit again on their next trip to cornwall

I had my hair coloured and cut today by the lovely Lana . As always she did a fantastic job and I was very pleased with the end result .

I have had my hair cut by Alexa at Inkfish Truro for over a year. Thoroughly recommend her and the salon.

I booked a restyle with Rachel (manager) a few weeks ago. I was seen quickly and offered a drink. The staff seemed offish with me. As there are mirrors everywhere you can see when the staff come up to you and say hi nicely and walk away and pull a face or laugh towards another member of staff. I was given a head massage when my hair was washed (something which I think they should have asked if I wanted it before they did it) and the man who did it was really rough and hurt my scalp. Rachel was friendly although she didn't understand what I wanted. When the hour was up she kept looking at her watch and rushed me to finish and didn't do a lot of things that I asked her to. When the cut was done she hadn't done what I asked her to, and to be honest as I paid extra for the manager to cut my hair I expected more than I got. Her cutting technique was no better than a hairdresser who has just finished their qualification. Very disappointed and as it takes so long to grow I am angry I will hav

I usually hate going to the hairdressers but the lady who did my hair was a dream, she translated my poor attempts at explaining what I wanted into one of the best haircuts I've ever had.

My stylist was wonderful; always friendly & I always get a brilliant cut from her. Usually I get offered a drink although I didn't this time - but as it was evening most of the staff may have gone home. Also, I usually get a lovely head massage during the hair-wash but I didn't today. The head massage is really what makes the salon experience so special & relaxing! Other than those small points, no qualms!

I have been known to fly to Manchester from Newquay before to my old hairdresser as I have previously been unable to find a hairdresser in Cornwall who would cut my thick hair with confidence and in a style I actually asked for!
That was until I discovered Tammy at Inkfish.
My daughter bought me a hair voucher for my birthday and I rang on spec for a same day appointment. I was in luck and met Tammy, totally by coincidence, as she was the only one free. She cared for me throughout: washed, cut, dried and styled my hair.
I felt listened to and came out feeling a million dollars! I had a really good cut that I was proud to wear.
The only negative was that there was old hair on the floor despite young juniors hanging about and at one point I had to brush someone else's hair away to put my handbag down!
However, it's all about the cut so I will certainly be back!

As always Max did a superb job of colouring and cutting my hair, knows what suits me and the results look natural and fresh. Everyone at Inkfish so friendly and helpful, very clean and the coffee is good,would always recommend this salon...and Max!

I rang up and booked in for my colour and cut and was not told I was with a newly qualified stylist. She did an amazing job re doing my hair and a lovely cut and blowdry. Very chatty and I was absolutely shocked to learn she had just qualified. Got a compliment from another client almost straight away!

To be honest i only went to Inkfish as they had an appointment free at the last moment. I've wandered for years from one hairdressers to the next never really being inspired with any of their cutters . Alexa listened to me, advised me and assured me of the best cut to suit me.
I went into the appointment feeling and looking my age but after Alexas amazing hair cutting skills , left feeling and looking 10'years younger!
The best advice , service and experience of a salon that I've had in years !

A previous disaster sorted out

The first time I visited Inkfish (Falmouth) I was so impressed, the second time I visited a Truro store due to not being able to get to Falmouth and I was so dissapointed. I hate complaining but I booked as I wanted my hair nice for graduation, I know with different hair dressers it's never going to look the same twice but I did expect the same standard. The blow dry was pointless I honestly can do better myself at home. It left my hair feeling limp, there was very little attempt to do anything with it despite asking for it to be dried with movement and not straight. Most of it was done with hands and no brush which bothered me as I have thin hair anyway a roll brush is important to create volume at the roots and to give a nice shape. I felt like nothing was really taken off the length and when I asked for it to be re done I was obviously an inconvenience. The first time I came out of Inkfish I felt amazing which is what I expect for a £40 hair cut but the second time I really wish I
