Arrived at the salon and was greeted with happy smiling faces as usual. Has gave an excellent shampoo and head massages followed by a lovely warm drink. Then Sakina came to cut my hair, a lovely smile and caring manner. She cut and dried my hair making me feel fresh and tidy. Could not ask for better service from a super team of professionals

Really like my hair colour

Always good to see Gina, she does a great haircut and is pleasant to talk to...it’s like going to see a friend whenever I go for a haircut!

I have been going to Toni & Guy Plymouth for 17 years and had different hair styles across the years from pixie short to bobs and long, every time everyone have been super helpful and especially Kelly, the manager. Superb care and creativity. Love their work!

Excellent as usual

This was my first visit to Tony&Guys and I am unsure as to why my experience was so different to the many others who have been here.
On arrival I was made to feel welcome and the salon has a great atmosphere. Sadly for me the remainder of the 4 and a half hours was markedly different. Initial consultation left me bewildered and unsure what to do. I did not feel involved in the process at all. I felt at times an inconvenience. No conversation flowed from my stylist and the process felt arduous and very very prolonged.
The saving grace of my experience was the cut I received from Simon. Chatty, friendly and informative. A definite credit to the salon.
I don’t think I will return which is a shame as it’s clearly a top rated salon. I saw several really happy people. Sadly, I wasn’t one of them.

Service was excellent, hairdresser Simon asked many detailed question to get a better understanding of what I wanted

I couldn’t speak highly enough of the Toni & Guy hair salon in Plymouth - their professionalism is outstanding - they are welcoming, client-focussed and always have a very pleasant manner - their service is efficient and their standards are very high. I wouldn’t recommend any other salon.

Had my long hair cut into a bob and absolutely love it, I was worried it wouldn’t suit me but Gina did a great job and it’s definitely worth the money and all the staff r friendly and helpful, i always go to Toni and guy because I know I will get a good cut/colour etc

I am always happy to come to the salon firstly I love the massage chair and head massage and the warm towel that is wrapped around after the shampoo.

I have been coming to this Toni & Guy for years now and I have never come out with a bad haircut or colour disaster. Today’s experience was excellent as usual, colour was spot on, very happy, and after my hair had been cut I said I may get it a bit shorter next time and stylist said she could take more off for me now If I wanted (so I did) It’s not the cheapest salon in town BUT the shape of my cut and the colour last way longer than other salons (I shopped around in the past) Polite professional and always chatty and friendly, great to come back to same people again and again, they keep hold of their staff which says a lot and no I have not been paid for this review!!

Always a great experience when visiting the salon- from the helpful and friendly receptionist , the young lady who washed my hair( and did an excellent head massage ) to my stylist Sakina! She always knows what I want even when i don’t! Always so happy with the end result! I’ve never been as pleased with my hair as I have been for the 4 years I’ve been coming to Sakina at Toni and Guy!

Amazing service! Awesome staff at the Plymouth branch. Offered a coffee and was greeted by a lovely receptionist. The young lad that washed my hair was lovely and made loads of conversation which was lovely and the lovely gentleman that cut my hair was lovely and done an amazing job. A lot of hair cut off and now I’m in love with my new short bob cut. Overall a lovely service well worth the money.

Despite a couple of problems with my colourist being unavoidably unavailable and the hairstylist running a bit late, the service was excellent even though the staff were obviously getting tired at the end of a very busy day covering for absent staff. As always, all staff were professional and friendly and I was pleased with both my cut and colour.

The brothers Mascolo - better known to the world as Toni and Guy - would be so proud of Kelly McKernan if they were alive to see what an excellent job she’s doing of making the Toni & Guy salon in Plymouth the go-to hairdresser for celebrities and the local elite.

You wouldn’t have to walk for more than a few minutes to find salons that will do your hair for half or even a third of the price, but that isn’t why we go to Toni & Guy.

It’s not unlike the difference between The Ritz and a Travelodge. They both rent you a bed and keep the rain off you overnight, but one does it in a style that makes you feel wonderful, and pampered, and special.

Toni & Guy, especially in Kelly’s hands, is Ritz rather than Travelodge, and you’ll often see TV personalities and actors from the Theatre Royal there, feeling at home in its glamorous environment.

Indeed, celebrities visiting the area often seek out Kelly personally, as did the entertainer Brian Conley of “It’s A Puppet!” fame, while he was starring in the local pantomime.

He was very happy with the result - oh, yes he was - and was probably thrilled to discover that he shared a hairdresser with me, though I might have got that the wrong way around.

The staff at Toni & Guy in Plymouth are beautifully dressed and perfectly groomed, and one of the senior stylists turned out to have an impressively encyclopaedic knowledge of hair transplant procedures that I knew was spot-on because I’d just written a website for a world-class hair transplant surgeon.

Kelly, I discovered, managed her first salon at the age of 19 - an extraordinary achievement - and impressed the powers-that-be at Toni & Guy internationally so much that they allowed her to acquire the francise for their Plymouth salon.

It couldn’t be in better hands, as are my fellow clients at this hairdressing centre of excellence.

I love my latest haircut. My wonderful hairwash with chair massage to a great cut and. Blow dry. Lovely surroundings. Very nice experience. Looking forward to going again.

Colour & cut with Courtney. Superb service as always. Lovely colour, very natural looking (like the grey was never there?). Cut great, I have very thick hair which can be quite difficult but she makes it look easy. Even the wind & rain on my walk home didn’t ruin it. Highly recommend ??
