Andy at Barnard Castle Saks always takes time to listen to my comments about my hair, what aspects I want to keep what changes I would like to make. We are a team he gives his professional opinion he listens to my ideas, we have a mutually respectful relationship. Also the time I have at Saks is truly "me time"

Always a pleasure to come relax & have my hairdresser do my hair exactly how I want it - never disappointed! All the staff are so friendly! Prices & more deals should be offered though. £51.00 for a wash/toner/dry is quite expensive.

I visit the shop for the first time today since moving to the area, staff were friendly but I don’t think it’s value for money when I could go along the street for half the price

My first visit to Saks Barnard Castle & I’ve booked again. Firstly I had a lovely relaxing facial by Grace then I had my highlights cut & blow dry by Jess. Just moved to the area and so pleased I came here first. No need to go elsewhere. X

I have been using saks at Barnard Castle for years and thought it was about time I left a review. Andy has always looked after me and always provides a professional personal service. I find the rest of the staff friendly and there is always a healthy bustle going on. Top marks from me.

Saks Barnard Castle always a great experience Andrew does a brilliant job with not the best of hair to work with.

Very good cut and colour

Jess was very professional and easy to talk to, I was happy with the cut as well. £42 for a gents cut and an 8 year old boys cut was very expensive compared to around £32 I paid less than a year ago for the same stylist. No sure I would go back again.

From the really good hair wash and scalp massage, the Tea (which was perfect) and my chop by Andrew it was all really good experience.
I’ve rebooked for 6 weeks!!

Hairdresser was lovely, but I asked for fringe bangs and was told I did not have enough hair to do this. With thick naturally curly hair I couldn't understand this. She cut in two short side pieces that looked like a grown out fringe. I left with a hairstyle that I can only describe as the "Rachel Cut" from friends in the 90's very old fashioned layers and blown dry. Sorry to say this will be my first and last visit to Saks. After leaving I have since had the fringe I wanted cut in by another hairdresser the same day ! A very expensive, disappointing experience.

I really enjoy the Saks experience. Being greeted by name when you walk in, offered a good cup of coffee and a relaxing head massage when you're shampooed! Great.

Really good experience today. I had my hair cut washed and blowdried . The stylist was called ellie she was really pleasant and professional I have already booked my next appointment.I was very pleased with my hair.

Good atmosphere and very professional but for what was done (very little) the appointment was a waste. After saying I wanted more shaping done to the back and to my outgrown bangs, minimal shaping was actually done and therefore I wouldn't return to this particular stylist (who I only can presume is new or in training). Previous appointments have been great and I've been happy with the result but this pre-holiday haircut has only left me with an empty purse.

Perfect as always, especially appreciate that the staff go out of their way to make sure the colour and cut work for you individually, recommendations and suggestions always turn out beautifully here!
