Salon's lovely, service needs a boost

I've been here several times over the years and the salon has always been clean and well maintained. This time I felt the warmth from the staff had gone. No friendly welcome, no smiles, no pleasantries, staff struggled to make conversation.
I had a bit of disaster with my haircut, asked for shoulder length hair, ended up with a poofy long bob. Must admit this is the first time as an adult I've cried in the hairdressers.
There were so many niggly issues whilst having my haircut this time, the hairdresser was a bit rough, hitting my scalp with the brush, hit my head with the hairdryer, seemed completely oblivious. Spent a great deal of time looking out the window, with sharp scissors in hand. My hair is bouncy, she clearly hadn't thought of this when she lopped off 4inches. The one thing I desperately didn't want was to look like a mushroom -she dried my hair to make me look like a perfect replica of toadstool. Then offered to restyle, tried that and wasn't any better. Then offered to take some weight out, marginally better. Then needed evening up as the left side was longer than the right. The hairdressers hands were trembling at this point. And shorter went my hair.
Couldn't really cope with any more so when asked if it's ok ten times in a row, did I want more product, did I want more taking off, trust me my answer is "it's fine".
I've had many good haircuts here, with the boys, ruby and Kendra. I'm still a bit traumatised (and paid over £40 to be traumatised) but ...hair grows :)
