Had a lovely experience at this salon today. Full head of highlights and cut and finish with Kim. Absolutely loved the end result. Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be going back again and would recommend this place to anyone

review of the service I received last night Wednesday the 31st May 2017, I went for a wash cut & blow dry at the salon based in Anlaby. The staff were really accomedating and fitted me in after work - I had a lovely wash & massage and relaxed for the first time this week !
my cut was superb and really suits me also a first since it was the first time the sylist Nicky had cut my hair she also blow dryed & straightened it - it was so nice I wanted to go out !

Has a cut and blow dry with Kim , I love my hair she was very pleasant and listened to what I wanted gave me loads of advice and she also cut my little 2 year old which was a big challenge and all I can say is he looks very cute perfect cut and a little help from Sarah to keep him entertained , will be back thank you Kim and Sarah

It's my was my first time to the salon (4/05/17) and I was nervous to say the least! I've been with my old hairdresser for many years, but due to her new career change I was forced to find somewhere new! After an extensive search on Facebook/Instagram/chats with friends, it was a toss up between Alexander and another salon. I went with Alexander's and I'm so glad ! Sarah made me feel so welcome and at ease (so picky with my hair lol). I'm in love with my colour, looks so natural and feels great! I even bought a product she used on my hair, and again what a great recommendation. I've already booked for my next appointment and told my friends and mum! Recommend to work friend the lot !

I came in today for a balyage, the lady that did my hair was lovely and very professional. I will be recommending to all my friends and will be returning very soon!

I love visiting Alexander Hair and Beauty. I am extremely happy with my hair and nails, and would never dream of leaving this salon. All the staff are fabulous and totally professional in all aspects of hair and beauty. Having gorgeous hair makes a person feel happy and more confident.

I recently came to Alexanders for the first time as my friend had recommended it to me as I wanted hair extensions. From my consultation to my appointment and all through out Sarah was lovely. She was really helpful and gave me all the answers to all the questions I asked! I spent about 3 hours in the salon having a complete make over and really enjoyed it! I had a couple of coffees and felt really relaxed and at ease. The salon has a really nice atmosphere and has a good playlist! Looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for my next appointment! Thanks Sarah!! xx

I attend the salon on a monthly basis to get my extensions sorted and my colour re touched. I came to the salon last year and took the plunge to be a regular customer in January after having a bad experience elsewhere! All the staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable and the salon is always so clean. Beth is amazing and always does my hair how I like it, as well as helping me go from blonde to a stretched brunette root. A few of the other girls have helped with my hair along the way too and were all ace! People are always commenting on how like like my hair. Really appreciate the work these people put in to make people feel better! Probably don't get enough thank yous. Extensions are really reliable and at a fab price! Keep it up guys!!! Oxoxoxo

Warm friendly reception, prompt service and an excellent cut.

I visited Alexander's salon on a recommendation from a friend and was glad I did. I had concerns about the condition of my hair and was nervous about having a colour. I talked these through with Beth before having anything done and she really listened. She then talked through my options giving me the confidence that she knew her stuff! I have since had a cut and a colour and my hair looks and feels fabulous.

Attended an appointment today with Beth. I'm not a big fan of hairdressers and attended with trepidation. I turned up with a salt and pepper frizz ball but left with a sleek new easy to maintain style. Beth has given my confidence a big boost and I left with lots of advice and compliments from other customers

Absolutely awesome staff and friendly service offering endless cuppa's and a warm welcome feeling. Definitely got a customer for life here.

Alexander has looked after me so well since losing my hair with chemo. He is so supportive and understanding and made me feel good about myself again. He has been there for me from beginning to end making sure I had privacy and lots of encouragement. His wig service is amazing along with the ongoing treatments for my now growing hair. Every one working at the salon make you feel so welcome and I want to say a big thank you. You will have my eternal patronage

Had an appointment with Kim this afternoon and it is noticeable that Kim has gained confidence. Her scissor work is quicker and her knowledge and technique is stronger. Every credit to Alex and staff for all her help.

I have been with Beth at the salon for almost a year .
She is a wonderful hairdresser and a very client - centred person which gives great confidence in her ability to ensure that a job person leaves feeling happy .
I would wholeheartedly recommend the salon .

My first experience at Alexander's wasn't what I was expecting at all. I had been at work all day got there for 4.15ish, soon as I walked in I was greeted with a well longed hot drink, then the girl who was looking after me made me feel comfy relaxed and helped me select the right colours for my hair. I hate going g to hairdressers but have to confess it was a peasant experience and I came out of that salon looking great even though I had been up over 14 he's by that point. Sarah was fabulous. Thank you and thanks to Judy. I will be back in 8 /10 weeks and will definitely recommend a friend.

I don't normally write reviews but I had to on this salon and would definitely recommend to anyone to make an appointment, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much Alex for making me feel at ease on Thursday when I came to see you. I was so nervous about being in a salon again and anyone even seeing my hair due to thinning and hair loss. But you and your team were wonderful and I even managed to stay in the salon part and not the private room. That may have been more to do with it being early so not sure how I'd be with anyone near me but you said we can always go to the private room so thank you for saying that. Your little boy was there that day too who is so adorable and I loved my little chat with him about Mickey Mouse and his friend with chicken pox, he helped me relax too and gave me a distraction from how I was feeling.
I ended up leaving the salon on cloud nine, loving how my hair looked and felt and I can't wait to see you next week for my hair colour. Thank you once again for making me feel human and giving me the confidence to want to come back to a salon.

Had a tint done today by the loverly Nicky. I've gone from blonde to dark brown and I love it. It looks gorgeous and I'm very pleased with it.

Second time visiting for a cut by Nicky, before my first visit I was so unhappy with my hair but she managed to sort it for me and kept going until it was exactly what I asked for. Have booked in for another cut before my holidays, wouldn't go anywhere else now, everyone else in the salon is really lovely and welcoming.

My over all experience at Alexanders was really really good! A bit of a mix up to start with but was quickly sorted. They were really friendly and i walked out with my hair looking great and so much better than i thought it would!

A few days ago I had my hair cut and coloured by Alexander. I have to say that this is the best cut and colour I have ever had. Alexander was very professional and took the time to listen to what I wanted to say about my hair and gave me lots of advice and tips on how to look after and style it at home. Everyone was very welcoming, there was a great atmosphere and the salon was very clean. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Every time I visit this salon I find the staff friendly, knowledgable and professional. I feel that the staff give you advice appropriate to your hair type and discuss the various options available to you. For example I have asked for an ombré before (I am very dark) and the member of staff tested my hair first to check how it would cope with the colour. Normally I have found other hairdressers do not pay this attention to detail. Alexander, the owner, is always very welcoming and approachable unlike some other people I have met at other similar establishments. I will be returning yet again because I feel that I am looked after. Thank you.

Fabulous experience at Alexander's today with Sarah. She listened and understood what I wanted my hair to look like and it looks exactly how I wanted it to look! I'm really fussy with my hair and if it's a mess I don't feel like me...isn't that every ladies nightmare?! Non stop coffee too! When anyone (for whatever reason) has to change hairdresser there is always a certain amount of anciety - you don't necessarily know the stylist, how they work and more importantly they don't know you. All this went out of the window. From the welcome at the reception to talking to Alex and the stylist. Advice and service both excellent.

Been for my pamper today. What a refreshing change to walk into a top class salon and feel so at ease and welcome. All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have lived in this area 5 years now and it has taken me until now to find such a fantastic place. Well done everyone there and keep it up.

I loved my visit to the salon, even though it didn't seem the same as how it used to be. Less staff, less clients, still good service. I enjoyed my exp and thought fondly of my hair colour, all beside the cut, a new stylist cut my hair, one of the two new girls , and my hair is always in good condition, I never have many split ends, she cut my hair straight and it was all good! Up until I left and got home. I noticed all the ends of my hair were very split, right where it had been cut, which has never happened before. I presume this mistake was caused by blunt scissors, but accidents happen! Lovely service

Had my first appointment with Nicky (colour) and Kim (cut &blowdry).The salon is soo clean, welcoming and such a relaxing atmosphere....I'm a mum of four and having a bit of me time is soo rare. I was soo happy and will definitely be back! Thank you to you all x
