I had the “Blonde Me!” Package at the salon today and had a great experience! An in depth consultation at the beginning of my appointment to decide what results I’d like, after care information given and products suggested to me, also received a lovely little welcome pack from the salon, all staff were lovely and professional and I’ve walked away with amazing results! Definitely found my new salon and will be going back ❤️ Thank you so much ❤️

My first visit was for a consultation & patch test. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. I told them what I wanted they advised on colour and cut. Analysed my hair and picked out some errors from previous salon I used. Made me feel very excited to proceed to book an appointment. Looking forward to getting my hair done. First impressions I would definitely recommend, amazing. Thank you Alex & Ferhat

Everything was good, the end result was okay but wasn’t very sure about the colour

Ferhat took time to listen to the ideas I had for my hair. He took time to explain what we could achieve and how we could build on it. One huge thing for me is that the same person washed my hair cut coloured and checked on me and finished my hair. One of my pet hates is when you have to sit and wait for your hair to be finished whilst they squeeze somebody else in. Then they get someone to wash your colour off. It’s lovely and refreshing that one person looks after you from start to finish. Was so pleased with end product my hair felt lovely

Practically being a salon virgin I was a bit anxious about my visit but Alex made me really comfortable and at ease.
He is friendly, polite, knowledgeable and professional.
He took care of my blonde hair and made me feel a million dollars after putting some amazing waves in my hair.
Although he didn't cut alot of my hair, by putting some lovely bangs in it totally transformed my style and really suits my face.

Unfortunately this wasn’t a positive salon experience for me. I have visited the salon a few times before and have been happy with the service but this time wasn’t as good.
The appointed started 3O minutes later that it should have. I wasn’t asked which colour toner I wanted and came out with ashy hair that I’m not a fan of.
Then I had a blow dry but again wasn’t asked how I like my hair to be styled. So I presumed I’d been given a waft off but then was charged over £50 at the till for blow dry and finish.
The table and gown had someone’s hair on it.
I am happy with the cut and result of my hair overall but I have never had a hair dresser not ask me how I would like my hair to be styled before. Or ask what kind of result I wanted from a toner.

Lovely new salon and Abi is the best!
So knowledgeable about styles/methods/products. Great atmosphere in the shop and they have the best chairs for washing your hair. No more neck pain! I’ve never seen these before! That attention to detail is sprinkled over the entire set up, you can’t go wrong!

Very welcoming staff ,made my daughter feel relaxed about having her cut and styled the way she wanted it ,I have 1 happy daughter, thank you 😊

ferhat is a very talented hairstylist. He suggested a beautiful balayage and haircut that suited well to my facial features and changed my entire look. I absolutely love it!

Alex was wonderful. He is a skilled hair designer but also listens.
I am autistic and have always had social and sensory issues regarding hairdressers. Hence I always go in looking like a haystack. But Alex worked his magic and a guy up the road said how fresh I look and my very discerning daughter was impressed.
It is so important people are aware of invisible disabilities and Alex grasped it!
Well done Alex and I’ll give him a reference any day.
Incidentally another daughter trains professionals in autism awareness if you ever want someone to talk to staff on the subject but I can do it too. I spoke to 160 health professionals once about what it is like to be autistic.
A glamorous industry like hairdressing always benefits from the human touch!

Really had a nice experience. It was my first time to book at The Strand after seeing their Balayage package at Instagram. Abigail together with Ferhat and Abi were all friendly yet very professional. They asked me what I'd like for my hair, looked at the pictures/videos of the hair color I'd like to copy. They gave suggestions too and explained everything that they're going to do. Once in while they offered refreshment too. They also gave advice how to maintain my hair colour and keep my hair in good condition. I really love the outcome and would definitely be back again!

Well worth every penny of the £25 that included a tip.

This was my third blow dry with Ferhat and I love even more than the first one! Always big and bouncy as asked for. Always finished so well. He only uses brushes and pin last the curls for a long lasting blow dry. 100% recommendation.

My 1st time having my hair done at the salon and what an experience, from the fully reclining chair when having your hair wash right through to the care and consideration from Alex, it was a great experience. I have never felt so relaxed having my hair done.

I first visited the strand a few months ago and been back today, and it was brilliant service, in depth consultation, lovely atmosphere, all products smell so good, best hair wash and head massage i have had.
Leave feeling relaxed and hair looking and feeling amazing.

Knowledgeable staff, very happy with haircut done by Abigail ,bought some lovely products at a great price, complimentary coffee and biscuits, plenty if parking, would recommend this salon and have already booked my next appointment thank-you

Beautiful salon with a really relaxed atmosphere. Coffee on arrival and attentive staff. The hair wash and blow dry was the best I’ve ever had and I left feeling confident and in love with my hair. The layers and curtain bangs I had cut in framed my face so much with such a small change! Will definitely be a returning customer.

The Strand is one of those places where they use the secret weapon…. They pamper you while they beautify!! Not to be underestimated. It’s a friendly salon but capable of some really technical work.
