Great experience, friendly environment

As always very happy with my visit, staff always helpful and friendly and once again Sam has done an amazing job with my hair

I was very excited to be getting my hair done at Toni&Guy as I’ve only been a few times before for special occasions (this time my boyfriend and I are going on our first holiday together). When I got there I was greeted by a friendly girl who politely showed me where to sit. I met my hairdresser who seemed nice we talked briefly about the sort of thing I wanted, I then went over to have my hair washed. The member of staff who washed my was good but didn’t talk to me at all instead she watched the TV. I sat back in the chair to have my hair cut, I said again how I wanted it cut ( I had quite long hair and wanted it shoulder length with layers). She started cutting, talking off around 2cm and asked me if that’s the right length, I proceed to explain I would like it shoulder length so quite a bit more. This carries on for around 20 minutes until it gets to the right length and style. So the whole hair cutting and styling is over, this whole time she hasn’t said more than two or three sentences to me, making me feel very uncomfortable.

I’m disappointed that I was not made at ease and talked to, I work in a customer service job I know that some days you don’t really want to talk to anyone but it is part of your job to make people feel comfortable and make sure they want to come back.

I have been before where the customer service has been great (with other members of staff) but this was meant to be the exciting and relaxing start to my holiday, to make me feel more confident but I’m disappointed and confused as to what why this excellent hairdresser wouldn’t have a conversation with me.

Overall, a very good hairdressers but poor customer service from the hairdresser. So if you’re going just expect to feel a little uncomfortable but pleased with the end result. The two stars for service is for the lovely receptionist who deserves five stars but the hairdresser deserves one.

Had my hair cut by Sam today who, as always, is both friendly and professional.

I had my first appointment at toni&guy on the 2/6/18 with Roxanne she made me feel so welcome and enjoy my experience I am looking forward to returning on the 28/7/18 thank you

My curly hair had gone thick and frizzy in the summer heat and needed the layers sorting out. Amber did an excellent job as usual. I can now easily manage it and look good for another couple of months.

Had highlights/colour on to my blonde hair 10th May 2018 ready for my holiday a week later. Got home husband noticed no difference. I thought there may have been a subtle change but unfortunately after a few washes my hair looks just the same. Bought an ultra violet shampoo from a well known high street shop at airport lounge before my holiday for less than £10 and this made more difference to my hair than the £60 pounds I paid toni and Guy. Very verydisappointed. Also when paying for my cut and colour which cost over £100 the colourist stood at the counter but made no comment on the finished look. Pleased with the cut as always though.
Back from holidays now and continue to use my Ulta violet shampoo which I cannot name but is amazing.

Booked my appointment with the Junior Colourist Jess Makey after she asked for hair models via Facebook,I am so glad I did! My hair was a complete years of home dying mess! She did a full head of highlights to tone it down,use 2 diffrent colours and talked me through the various types and stages,my hair looks amazing!! I would highly recommend Jess and the salon,lovely friendly staff,super clean and tidy,and always asking if you'd like a drink or new magazines.I will be using it from now on

The tram were able to achieve the look I wanted after been previously (by other salons) told due to pre existing colour was not achievable........the result was natural and healthy

Had a wonderful experience today , with my hair being coloured by Christie. She made me feel relaxed and she did a super job . I was even given an extra treat of an unbooked blow dry

Apart from the eye-watering prices. The results were 0% of what was asked for and had to go to a second hairdressers to get it rectified. Never going back.

First visit to the Hull salon and I must say it ticked all the boxes for me! All staff were friendly and I didn’t feel rushed. Amber (stylist) took time to listen and got my cut exactly as I wanted! THANK YOU! I will return x

Brilliant as usual

I had another fabulous visit to Gareth for my colour and Lusie for my cut, I can't praise these guys enough, Gareth has taken my hair from jet black (home bought dye for 25 odd years!!!) to my natural silver/grey and I LOVE it ❤️❤️❤️ thank u soooooo much Gareth, and and to Lusie also who has aced my haircuts every time! Massive thank you guys!!!
