As always, great experience, very welcoming. Nadine has been colouring, cutting and blow drying my hair for the last 16 years. She always consults giving new ideas, suggestions and does the best blow dry ever. Always lasts me 4 days. Recommend booking in advance, very busy lady.

Danielle did an amazing job with my hair. I had no idea what I wanted so she helped me come up with the idea and it looks perfect! I am so happy with the result and can’t wait to go out with it

I had a new colour change as Nadine recommended it to me. She always suggests new styles and colour options which is great as I find it extremely helpful. As always, I enjoyed my hair appointment as it’s like meeting up with an old friend but obviously she is very professional as well.

It has been my first time in the salon and my appointment was with Sam. Since the beginning he has been caring and enthusiastic to help me to find my right cut and colour with a free consultation. he did a skin test on me (and no all the hairdresser do that, it s a sign of being professional). He gave me some advice about cut and how to take care of it. He took all the time my hair cut needed, with no rush. my result is amazing, I am really happy and I ll be back in a week for the colour. They are all lovely, from the receptionist to the boss. They offered me a coffee and Sam gave me a head massage that was amazing. Definitely worth it. and Sam is absolutely professional and lovely. bravo Sam!

Great experience. I have not seen Nadine for 10 months, as I wanted to grow my hair out. Very well looked after, and I was asked at each stage how I wanted to proceed with the cut, highlights and toner. Thank you, great result!

My daughter doesn't even like me brushing her hair but her hair looked like an old ladies and I desperately wanted it to have a style. Sam gave Ida the cutest little Bob. He made her feel at ease and she even let him blow dry it! She sat on my lap as initially she didn't feel at ease but soon enough she was loving it! I'm chuffed with the result and really pleased I went to Strangeways for this.

Sam is great. Everyone is great. Great that you can book online! Reception and staff very friendly. Sam works in the moment, if between cuts he sees a different approach to take, he will say so, and that in itself is commendable. He's an artist, I walk in with a hair do that's long overdue a cut, and walk out like a modern day princess, ready to take on the world! I'll be back for colour Sam, be ready! Sandra x

I always have my hair cut and coloured by Nadine ..I travel from colchester as Nadine has a complete understanding of to deal with my really thick hair !
She is absolutely lovely .. attentive to detail but has good ideas for your hair type!
I always love having my hair washed by the staff and the whole four hours I’m usually there for I’m looked after and spoilt !

As soon as I walked in, I felt very welcome. The receptionist was extremely friendly and approachable. Rachel who took time to talk to me after I turned up unannounced was so helpful and professional. She understood exactly what I wanted even though I wasn’t exactly sure myself. I’m looking forward to my first appointment in a couple of weeks.

Friendly, efficient, professional salon in the heart of Leigh on Sea. Always clean and tidy. Reasonably priced treatments. Excellent toilet facilities. Would recommend.

A lovely experience from start to finish. My stylist, Hannah, took the time to talk through what would work best for me, my shampoo included a nice head massage, the cut was meticulous and the finish very good. Hannah made sure I was happy with the cut and finish as we went along. It was a relaxed and friendly experience - oh, and I had a lovely cup of tea!

Great hair cut by Nadine yesterday. Just styled it and it falls into place without much effort. Sign of a fantastic cut.

Nadine has been my hairdresser for over 3 years now and I would never go to anyone else! Me and my mum adore Nadine and love spending our time getting our hair done with her and building an even better friendship in that time. Nadine is super talented, friendly and honest! Could not ask for a better hairdresser ! Always come out very happy and loving my hair. The staff there are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. I have been going to Strangeways for a couple of years now. Hannah has completely transformed my hair to exactly how I requested at the start of going to Strangeways. I trust Hannah as she is very experienced. The atmosphere in the salon is very professional yet relaxed and happy. Great experience (especially if you’re having a stress day/week. Well done to the whole team.

Sam has been my hairdresser for the last couple of years and no salon or stylist has done it better. All staff are wonderful and kind. Always a great atmosphere and always happy to help. I always leave feeling happy!

Professional and friendly experience ever time.

It had been 6 years since I'd last visited Strangeways (pre kids.... sanity intact) and imagine my surprise when a familiar face greeted me at the door.
So I rocked in, a windblown nervous wreck of a woman who had escaped her 2 children in the school holidays, and Hannah was fabulous! She didn't admonish me for plastering my wild mane in place with a full can of hairspray..... we had to skip the pre-business combing..... instead she enthusiastically agreed that the haircut I desired was totally possible (cue screenshot of devastatingly gorgeous model 20 years my junior with edgy cut). I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep..... almost! I snore. Anyhoo long story short, my hair has never looked better, funkier and let's just be honest. ...I'm now a sex bomb.
Hannah, thank you for a fantastic experience and for involving me in the decision making process throughout different stages of the cut. You gave me great styling and product advice and I cant wait to see you in 6 weeks for my trim. Xx

A few years ago I was recommended by a friend to have Nadine fix a very awful and very wonky haircut I’d had at a different salon. I wasn’t very trusting of hairdressers at the time, they never seemed to do what I asked. One inch off would be three, highlights would look streaky or like in this case, my hair would be cut wonky. The moment I met Nadine I instantly fell in love with her! You can’t avoid it, she’s so warm and friendly, we clicked instantly, like she does with all of her clients because of her sassy style and great sense of humour. Not only did she fix my terrible haircut, she gave me back my confidence in hairdressers and I’ve followed her from that salon to another ever since. I’d follow her across the world if I had to! My hair is always cut and coloured by Nadine, she does such an amazing job and we have good fun whilst she does it. She sweet, professional and knows what she’s doing. I regularly get complimented on all the different blonde tones in my hair and the condition of it is lovely. Most importantly, I trust Nadine. I trust her judgement and her capabilities. The girl has got some serious skills in her bag. I sent my Mum to her for a hair cut and now she goes back every time as well. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Hairdresser for life, friend for life ?

Today I was booked in with Martyn for my regular cut. I must be a nightmare for him - always changing my mind, giving him vague ideas about how I want my hair to look, but he somehow manages to translate all my ramblings into a cut that makes me look and feel fabulous!
The whole team is friendly, drinks are generous and the salon has a quirky, energetic vibe that draws you in.

I usually have Martyn cut my hair but I was unable to book with him due to my availability. I decided to try Sam. I’m absolutely thrilled with my cut and blow dry. I will definitely use Sam again.

Hannah did a lovely cut and blow dry for me and Joe washed my hair, gave a good massage and brought me a drink. They were both kind, bright and solicitous. Great service guys. Very happy. And all in a light, bright and comfortable air conditioned environment.

Just wanted to say how amazing I feel every time I come out of Strangeways. I’m made to feel welcome and have built a great friendship with Hannah! I trust her implicitly which is something I find very hard to do when it comes to my hair.

Danielle is great, she always listens to my requests and gives great advice & suggestions on styles. I was apprehensive about having a colour but didn’t need to worry, Dan got it spot on & now I get lots of compliments on how natural it looks.

Nadine has been cutting / styling my hair for the past 6/7 years. She is amazing at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone for a professional service and excellent haircut.

Had a re style from Pru today and I'm absolutely thrilled with the result. She got the style spot on from the pic I showed her. I've asked for styles from a pic in the past in other salons and no one has got it right until Pru.
