My first visit to Chopp after Reece was recommended to me. He and all the team were so lovely and welcoming….I think they could tell I was nervous about having my long hair cut! Reece made me feel very comfortable and was understanding about my coming to a new stylist after such a long time…Will 100% be back ?

Love Chopp, love catching up with Paul, love the playlist, live the creative and of course the haircut. People make businesses and Chopp has great great people, can’t recommend enough!

Seeing a man’s barber is a luxury. Something I have missed for a long time within which I’d seen a couple of other hairdressers! Seeing Reece (Paul and members of the crew) yesterday was like seeing a member of family. The style is almost irrelevant as the experience but none the less I love it! And almost as importantly so does the wife!

I can’t thank Reece enough at Chopp every time I come in I am always greeted with a smile and happy staff.

Always top service lovely people

After years of asking salons to cut in more alternative styles and colours, and never being happy, I found Chopp! Paul and his team are really happy to try new styles and i found my perfect match with Leah who is very up for trying out different colours and is an expert at blending colours into each other! With Leah i’ve had sunset dyes and had a breeze toning out greens and blues, ready to experiment with a new colour :) She always gets my tone of blonde right too and any style i bring to her she works so it will suit me and be super wearable. They always consider hair health too! Def the place to go if you want something a little different!

Chopp is such a great salon, friendly and welcoming and second to none for the amazing service and skills of the team. Having tried a lot of other local salons before Chopp, I wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

A wonderful first time proper haircut experience for my 6 year old daughter

I had such a lovely (and quite refreshing) experience with Reece, coming to him for the first time on a recommendation. He really took the time to understand what I wanted from my haircut and what I would normally do with my hair to make sure it would look great styled or just with minimal effort. He also gave me great tips on how to use products (that I already had at home) and how to properly use the diffuser when drying my hair and at no point did it feel like a rushed appointment. Free fringe trims offered which is always a winner when you don’t quite need a full hair cut yet but your fringe is getting annoying, so I’ll definitely be booking in for one of those too before seeing Reece again soon. Overall he is an asset to your lovely salon :-) I’m not sure who, but someone also made me a very good cup of tea, which is a rarity, so thank you to that person too! Your reception staff were also very friendly.

My only complaint would’ve been that the hair towels had quite a damp smell to them, like they’d been put away while still wet - totally understandable with the amount of washing I imagine they do, but not so nice when it’s round your neck/on your head.

I had my third visit to Chopp and I was not disappointed! Reece has done some amazing highlights followed by Leah for another great cut & finish! Always a pleasure attending the salon!

So, I freely admit that I’m a nightmare when it comes to haircuts. I’m overly particular, I’m bad at articulating what I want, and if I’m unhappy with the result of a cut, I (shamefully) usually never go back to that hairdresser. I am a nightmare.

It’s with this in mind that has made me realise that Paul at Chopp is some sort of miracle worker. I’ve never felt more comfortable, more listened to, and more professionally advised. After years of being unhappy with my hair, it finally looks how I’ve wanted it for probably a decade. Paul and the whole crew at Chopp are bloody miracle workers, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

A great haircut as usual with some good chat that wasn’t just small talk. Always feel comfortable and happy at the salon and couldn’t think of a better place to go for a male haircut that isn’t just your typical Essex chop.

Paul really puts in the work at the shop and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. A place that is reliable and a place to always come away happy with the end result!

OMG I’ve found a hidden gem in Leigh on Sea! I travelled from London and it was certainly worth it. I have very tight curly hair and I’m always apprehensive getting my hair trimmed or cut. Reece did an amazing cut and gave me the style I visioned.
I would highly recommend Reece for cutting Afro hair of all textures. He is very knowledgeable and understanding.

This was the first time I visited chopp and it won’t be the last Reece transformed my hair from a complete disaster yellow blonde to a beautiful bronde/balayage-ish he is one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever had and the others in the salon are extremely friendly and welcoming I will probably have a few clients for them after this. Best haircut as Paul knows exactly how I like my hair. He always has great suggestions too and takes time to ensure I am happy. The new products being introduced sound amazing and I will be trying them out.
