Edward James London - Balham

I always see Jessica because she is amazing! I booked for a full head tint but she suggested a root tint and toner which was fab, we finished with a cut and beautiful bouncy blow dry which lasted 5 days!

Once again Jessica was great - she listens to what I would like and gives very good advice.

I'm so pleased to have found Aaron and Edward James. The salon is beautiful and relaxing. Aaron is lovely and an amazing hairdresser. My cut is perfect and my colour hasn't looked this (enhanced) natural in years. Happy 1st time customer. Will be back.

Delighted with my colour by Jessica to cover my grey. I've been trying to find a colourist for a long time who will listen and discuss what is best for my hair that will give me a result I actually want (I have delicate hair and colour in the past has damaged it). She gives great advice and I'm really pleased with the finished colour and condition. My second visit to her and I've already rebooked again. She's also lovely :)

Harriet and Becca have both done a male colour and cut for me for a while now. Both are the best in Balham. Even when I’m being a bit particular I can rely on them to put it right. Highly recommend and grateful to have you all in Balham. 5 star service!

Excellent all-round - Carrie really listened to what I wanted even though I wasn’t fully clear myself, was accomodating, and executed it perfectly. Always well looked after at EJ, including helping me when I wasn’t entirely happy with a previous visit. Will keep coming back.

As always, a fabulous service at Edward James (loved binging on the magazines.. could do with more trashy ones..!!) Jess is just amazing, always gets my highlights correct, I’m quite annoying as always chasing the rainbow of a hair shade and she always nails it! The guy who washed my hair was so so lovely and friendly. Not sure his name but was fab!

What a beautiful salon but an overall disappointing quality of service. My requests for services, extension application and removal were accepted and 10 min later declined! Maybe the staff should he better trained as to what services they actually provide and under what conditions!
Also “senior colourist “ gave me yellow hair with black roots, the salon graciously corrected their mistake with another colourist but with another 4 hours of my time, maybe they need to be a bit more careful as to who they award the title “senior”

What can I say - I’ve follow him round London. Ed manages my heart and soul as much as my hair! A skilled master craftsman😊

Jess has revived my hair! The colour looks much richer and she ensured that I didn’t get stains on my forehead which is a bonus. She gave my hair lots of volume with a big brush blow dry and pinned it so it looked good for a wedding the next day and it still looked amazing 3 days later. I had lots of compliments.

Aaron cur my hair for the first time yesterday in Balham and I couldn’t be more pleased with the cut and having also coloured my hair recently too, the combination was lovely. His care and attention to detail is second to none and he quickly knows what is going to look right for my hair and the whole process is seamless friendly and excellent. Thank you so much.

Always a great experience!! I’ve been coming here for years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Gitanna is incredibly talented and always does an amazing job on my hair. Highly recommend!!

Regular customer new stylist was fine although didn’t listen to my initial instructions. The lady that washed my hair (there’s always a new one) was terrible, she ended up tuning my jumper pouring water with bleach from my hair all over the front of my neck, forehead, face. She then burnt my scalp whilst drying the hair and dried it so bad I had like a lump wave on my hair I just could not her rid off for two days.

I know I'm going to be looked after here.

Carrie is an absolute superstar - not only is her knowledge of cuts, colour and products second to none, she is so much fun to sit and chat to. I can’t recommend her (or Hayley upon her return) highly enough.

Had a great experience with Aaron on Monday! He was friendly and professional—not too chatty, but very considerate. He checked in to make sure I was happy with the length and was more than happy to take a little more off when I asked. I also really appreciated his advice on my hair, which was super helpful. I’ve already recommended him to a friend, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Came in for a root tint and a cut, came away with a new colour and stylish bob both of which I love!
