Me and my 11-year old daughter absolutely love coming to Edward James.
First, od course, very ? stylists, attentive and personnal, good advice, not pushy.
Above average care - hot drinks, very well presented too (my daughter always gets a hot chocolate with biscuits!), cold drinks, even shoulder massage...
Not the cheapest, but a true feel good experience.

I had a full consultation with Ed. I am suffering with hair loss due to stress and am a post cancer patient albeit years ago. I was put at ease and did not feel embarrassed as I have felt at other salons where I had over heard the stylist saying “what am I meant to do with this?” Ed is informed and knowledgeable regarding all aspects of hair from diet, scalp and hair care maintenance. Ed took the time to make me feel like a person. I left with a style and colour that gave me confidence with the hair I have-that means a lot, as I had given up previously to my visit. I cannot recommend him and all his staff more highly.

Very comfortable and relaxing experience. Stylists and team generally make you feel at ease and are professional in all they do. I always walk out feeling so much better than when I walk in! Charlie is a great stylist and colourist - she listens to your needs, which are probably not always realistic! She delivers and creates natural colour and style that makes you feel better about yourself when you leave :). The salon environment is low key, relaxed and the prices are worth the extra cost in my view.

I must say what a delight it is to interact with Edward on all levels!
He is an incredibly benevolent individual, going far beyond what is required to ensure his clients are cared for, heard and their needs met on a professional capacity and on a personal level also.
He has an innate ability to listen deeply and demonstrate true compassion leaving one feeling he is attempting to deliver more than simply hair services. He advises on a variety of matters pertaining to hair health and indeed, anything he considers may be beneficial to his client; far surpassing any other hairdresser I have ever encountered.
He is genuine, considerate and a true gentleman, evidently respected by his staff who are effusive in their praise for him, which clearly is apparent in my own dealings with him. So much so that I have switched from two other Aveda salons simply due to being highly impressed with him as a person and professional! This was all from simply observing him and was verified with my own dealings with him.
I highly recommend him for his inherent interpersonal and communication skills in conjunction with his years of experience and expertise in his craft. He is a gem!

I have been a regular at Edward James for a number of years. This was my first disappointment. I felt as though my stylist was distracted the whole time. I was not give the opportunity to check the length of my hair before it was blow dried and when I asked if it could be cut shorter at the end I was told very bluntly ‘no’. For the amount of money I paid this is just not good enough.
I have been coming to Pavlova for the past 3-4 years and have always found her work outstanding. She’s meticulous, very good at engaging with her clients, always open to understand their wishes but also very tactfully share her expert advice. I’d recommend Pavlova in a second!

I’ve been seeing Natalie for a few years now and have always had the most amazing haircuts. My cut is so often commented on by friends even after 10 weeks. The experience at Edward James is outstanding from the moment you walk in the door. You’re greeted with a welcoming smile and the head and neck massage is wonderful whilst you’re waiting for your stylist. Ed and team really care about how you’re doing and everything you need and give a personalised approach.
