We're sorry to hear that you were not happy with your recent experience at our salon. We value our long-time customers like yourself and always strive to provide top-quality service at reasonable prices.
We understand your concerns about the price increase and would like to assure you that we have carefully considered various factors before making the decision. Our team works hard to constantly improve our skills and stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in the industry, which reflects in the end result of each service.
Unfortunately we have sustained cost increases, including an average of 20% this year on top of around 10% on the previous year. Our team take a percentage of the income from their services, so we need to ensure the prices accommodate these costs in order for the salon to survive and support our team's livelihoods.
Having made a loss since acquiring the salon in 2016, we have just started to turn this around and with over 4,500 salons closing in recent years, we have had to take steps to ensure our own survival.
As for the hair drying charge, that is a standard practice in many salons as it requires time, effort, and use of professional products. However, we apologise if this was not communicated clearly to you. As not all clients want or need a rough dry, rather than incorporating that cost in the service, we felt it would be fairer to give clients the choice if they didn't wish to have it.
