Disappointed 😒
I chose this salon because it positions itself as a high-end service provider with prices above the average in the UK market. Last year, I had my haircut with Armado and was extremely satisfied with the service. I was offered coffee, received thoughtful advice on what would suit me best, and felt very well taken care of. It was a truly enjoyable experience.
Unfortunately, this time, the service fell far below my expectations. I booked with a different stylist, hoping for a similar level of care, but I was disappointed. He didn’t offer any suggestions or professional advice when I asked for his input as a stylist. Instead, I was expected to give all the instructions myself, which is not what I expect from a professional. It felt more like a basic trim than a consultation with a stylist.
Moreover, the atmosphere was lacking — no offer of water or coffee, and the stylist was abrupt and unengaged. The attention to detail and customer care that I experienced last time were completely absent.
Given the high price point and the salon’s reputation, I believe a minimum standard should be met, where clients are made to feel comfortable, welcomed, and well-advised. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time, and I do not plan on returning.
