I was really nervous about having my hair coloured by a new stylist, I’ve had the same one for years, but having moved to London, I needed to find someone new and Hobs Camden had been recommended.
They were able to fit me in on the day which was great. Front of house staff were super friendly. The atmosphere in the salon was a little flat, but I think that’s just owing to getting back to the new normal and possibly my nerves.
My stylist was friendly and happy to see pictures of what I was after (my last colour). She was honest about it being more expensive. I had asked for opalex so expected it to be a little more expensive. I was surprised to hear that adding in a toner would be more on top as I thought a toner, especially for a blonde balayage, helps get the best out of colour and this is what every salon should be hoping for? It ended up being an extra 118(ish) which is quite a surprise and a little awkward when you are already sat in the chair.
I was handed over to a trainee for my wash, toner and small root smudge, which made me even more nervous. I am very used to one stylist seeing through their vision, so felt really anxious when I was passed to a new stylist (who then also told me she was a trainee and had no idea that Hobs Camden was colourist specialists - that’s what the website said)
The colour is nice, it’s definitely as a whole darker than I had hoped for. I can’t fault the technique of my stylist, it just didn’t come together like my picture, which is disappointing for the price.
Cut is lovely.

I had a colour with Emanuel, and though far from first time having hair coloured, I hadn’t met Emanuel before. He was absolutely wonderful, I honestly couldn’t have asked for more from the appointment. He took his time to make sure he’d understood what was important to me etc and I genuinely couldn’t fault any part of the appointment. Despite moving out of Camden to W10, we made a special visit back to Hob to see Maki. Her cutting skills are second to none, as are her listening skills. Had the pleasure of getting a balayage from Chloe and a cut from Sol. Was really nervous before coming as I hadn’t been to a hairdressers in years. But these guys made me feel so comfortable and at ease. They seemed really genuine and confident and took really good care! Second time I had my hair colour with Emanuel: it's so good! It has done a great job again: my hair were dyed last December, so the colour had faded a bit and the there was a terrible regrowth. He did everything all-over again and the colour is glorious.
First time I went for haircut and I was too nervous to ask for a short hair or drastic change since it was my first time with Romeo. I asked for trim and give a better shape to my severely outgrown bob. Job was glorious: very Angelina Jolie-style.
My hair are curly and thick, so it requires quite an expert to do it properly. Happy!
Another successful visit to HOB Camden. I've had some bad haircuts over the years, but every time I come to HOB in Camden I leave a happy customer. I even travel all the way from Hertfordshire because I know it's a guarantee, no matter which hairdresser I see there. For this visit, not only is my hair just how I wanted (I had shoulder length thick wavy hair with a fringe which was transformed into a chin length graduated bob), but I also received a warm welcome from the reception staff, a lovely head massage from the lady who washed my hair, and really friendly conversation from Jordon, who's cut my hair a few times now and has become my regular choice. It was a delight and I'm already looking forward to my next appointment with her :) Thanks Jordon and team!

My hair was cut and styled by Stewart which I loved, but my hair was washed by one of the girls and they CANNOT wash hair. My hair still feels unclean and after leaving the salon I was not happy at all. I felt bad saying something to her then but i’m so sad that I spent a huge amount to have my hair still be dirty.
Sol was great. We had a chat and he came up with couple of suggestions for me to choose from. I opted for bob and love it. Beautifully done. Will come back, as always.

Haircut is great as always although felt a little rushed however probably because I was in a foul mood as had been kept waiting. Hair colour app (basic root dye) was at 2pm and didn’t see the stylist until 4:15 (I was told this was the time it was booked for)
So I was basically left sitting around for the best part of an hour in between.
No one came to tell they’d messed up the booking.
Sadly this has happened 3 times before then things got better and now again !
My time is precious and no one at HOB seems to care about that.
Fantastic haircut!. My first for 6 months! Jordon is always great, and I was so pleased with the colour and the cut. Felt so good when I left the salon!!
