Second time at Hob Camden. First hair cut with Lee.
I don’t have a regular hairdresser, so its always a bit nerve-racking going to the hairdressers because the result is so uncertain. I think today’s visit is the best experience I have had in 15 years. The appointment booking with the gentleman on the phone was very reassuring as I told him I was exempt from wearing a mask, and he reassured me I would still be welcome.
My haircut was with Lee; and my hair was going to be cut very short. Enough time was given to discuss what I wanted, and what would work. In other salons, I have felt that it can be a bit of rush as they have to stick to a time frame.
Lee really took his time to cut my hair so nicely. I couldn’t believe it. I was thankful for the whole experience. I would definitely recommend going to him; even if it just for the meditative experience of how he handles hair. It is something else. I think his hands are made for it.
AND, I love my hair cut! I am So Happy! :-) It is exactly what I wanted. Tears of joy and gratitude.… Thank you Lee, and all there. Have a lovely day.

I have been going to Hob Stewart ever since I arrived in London decade ago. Great blow dry & cut. Unlike other hairstylists, he takes time to do hair & actually listens to client and does hair. Doesn’t apply too much traction & gives great volume even if you have flat or limp hair! Also, Hob provide great hydrating treatments which I like. Couldn’t have asked for a better stylist. I wasn’t able to have my highlights done, which was the main reason for my booking as I was late due to traffic (did not want to take tube due to covid). I had asked to confirm all staff wore masks before confirming my appointment & was disappointed to see some staff & several customers w/out masks. My stylist’s mask was under his nose a lot of the time, & he seemed annoyed and rough with my hair when I mentioned lack of mask wearing.
Dear Louisa, please accept our apologies for your disatisfaction. It is regrettable that, as you were considerably late for your appointment, we were not in a position to conduct the service you originally booked for. I believe this was communicated to you prior and upon your arrival.
Our team follows the strictest government guidelines and we take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of viral transmission at all times. At times, legally, we have to accept that some customers may be exempt from wearing a face covering. Should you wish, please feel free to contact us directly to discuss it further.

I went in for a cut and finish and a balayage. The whole experience was great - at the start of the appointment I received a consultation from a colouring specialist and from a stylist. After the consultations, they debriefed and made sure the final look would be good. All the staff were polite and very attentive and made the appointment feel like a treat. (I've been for some appointments in the past, not at a Hob Salon, where you are made to feel rushed and that you as the customer are somehow a burden on the staff. My appointment at Hob Salons was the polar opposite, they treated me like I was royalty.) I am really pleased with how my hair turned out and I've received lots of compliments on it since. I had a really pleasant experience and would recommend the salon to my friends.

I had a brilliant cut by Lee. My hair is difficult to cut well and he masterfully gave my hair a youthful style.
He encouraged me to let my hair grow grey, giving me artful tips on how to accessorise for a chic and trendy effect.
He brought over Emma for a chat and after about 5 years of indecision I decided to take the plunge….and I am so pleased I did it. Emma is a colour artist highlighting my hair then toning it to suit my skin tune enhancing my features and yes making me look younger.
