I booked impulsively to go to Gritt LDN after reading the reviews here, and I'm so glad I did! I had an absolutely fantastic experience. Marney and Ellie were so friendly and welcoming, taking time to really understand what I wanted. Marney's cut was fantastic - one of the best I've ever had, taking my long and shapeless hair into a beautiful and stylish bob! I'll 100% be back in the future.

I serendipitously stumbled across Gritt London walking on this lovely road this weekend, and I am beyond thrilled that I did!
From start to finish, there was nothing but friendly and genuine service (this store is privately owned by one of the hairdressers) and ran by two wonderful women as a local business.
I have long hair and have always worried going to “get a trim” as hairdressers usually take off more than necessary— but Ellie was sensitive and professional to this, not only am I very pleased with my cut that feels fresh and light, it’s the length I wanted to retain -
I haven’t had my hair coloured for years, and thought I’d be a little audacious and try something natural yet defined -
Ellie did such a terrific job with colouring too- (face frame highlights) and I adore the new look. When I asked how to treat my hair, she kindly offered that if it ever goes too light I can always pop in to get it toned down again. This is what I think makes the mark for me, service that has long term vision in caring for their clients.

Lastly, I’ve never felt too comfortable of hairdressers’ environments and interior design- usually they are geared either too masculine, or the other spectrum of being too glam and feminine. What I did appreciate however, was Gritt London’s decor: the Nordic aesthetics of simplicity and minimalism; cement long bench, high white ceilings and glass windows with natural light; cleanliness was unequivocally kept to a high standard. It had a relaxing atmosphere and a solid Sunday playlist in the background.

I would 100% return to this brilliant find of a salon of such efficacy and warmth.

Love love love this salon! Marney has been my hair dresser for the past 5 years and each time I see her I always walk out the salon looking fabulous and get tons of compliments on my hair! She and the lovely talented ladies at Gritt always make me feel welcome and the overall vibe is just amazing!

I decided to change my salon when I hit the ripe old age of 60 and somebody suggested Gritt! Well, greeted with a choice of tea or a Martini Cocktail, lovely long chat with the stylist, fabulous washing experience in a massage chair and a superb cut - will 100% be back!

My first visit to the salon and it definitely won’t be my last. From start to finish the girls were amazing. Ellie has cut my hair so beautifully! Can’t wait to have it coloured.

What a lovely relaxing experience. Ellie cut and blow dried my hair, exactly as I’d asked for. Head massage, calm and confident stylist abd the end result was just great.

I have no hesitation at all in leaving the best possible review. I took my daughter along for her first ever ‘salon’ haircut. She was incredibly excited although also very nervous. The staff could not have been kinder, more empathetic or more professional. She left with exactly what she had asked for, having had a fabulous experience and with a huge smile on her face. We will definitely be back. Oh and the Martini that I was served was also fabulous.

Had my first haircut here with Marley - the whole experience was lovely. The interior of the salon is beautiful and the service was excellent. I have thick Asian hair and Marley really did a fantastic cut - the graduated bob I have now is really trendy and I love it. Taken years off me. I highly recommend this place.

Couldn’t of wished for a better service, apart from walking away with utterly fabulous hair, there was so much more, little touches like the drinks menu to make you feel welcome and at ease, the advise and tips from the stylists to keep your hair feeling great, the atmosphere in general! Will def be returning time and time again!

This is a fabulous salon and I would highly recommend. Marney has been my hairdresser for years and I have followed her to various places over the years. She now has her own salon and it is amazing! The staff are not only really lovely but all of the stylists are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. You will not regret going to this salon!!

Okay where do I start! The welcome was so warm and friendly, the place was amazing clean, simply and the deco was - each area was like a feature piece.

A gorgeous new salon on Abbeville Road...the stylists are all friendly and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Excellent blow dry and colour advice. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Ellie completely sorted out my lockdown kitchen scissor haircut, she smashed it. I had an idea in mind for what I wanted when I arrived and she completely agreed and tbh my hair looks even better than I expected it to, couldn’t be happier. Also a lovely salon, such a lovely experience, happy to have finally found my new regular.
