I arrived, slightly flustered and in a massive hurry, at this salon in Covent Garden. On arriving I’d actually booked the other Toni & Guy in Covent Garden - not this one. They sorted it straight away and found me a slot with them/called the other salon to explain/etc.
Gorgeous curly blow dry, quick, fast, efficient, friendly team. Perfect for someone busy, needing a spruce before a big night out.

This was my second appointment with Louis and I was not surprised to leave with an amazing hairstyle - again! He always takes time to chat, and to check that everything is as I had hoped.

Good stylist, very confident. Asked me if I’d like a treatment for my hair since it was very dry and in need of conditioning. Said it would only take 5 minutes. I said yes and was stung for an e tea £22. Price was never mentioned and the ‘treatment’ was introduced so subtly that it never occurred to me that that would be the cost. This was not transparent service at all. So I won’t return. Shame cos otherwise the stylist was very good.

TGL Long Acre is a Gem of a salon. Worth the trip as it not not delivers a superb service, friendly welcoming staff, a cosy atmosphere of a 'Club', BUT also one of the Best Hairdressers ever: MARTIN. My hairdresser was first 25min late until I told him I had to start with my haircut since I had to leave at a certain time. I explicitly explained that I wanted to have Less layered hair- so only to cut a tiny bit (split ends) so that the layers would fall closer to the bottom length, but he clearly didn't listen since he went and cut More layers! Precisely what I came there to avoid since I left with an even bigger layer difference than when I came. There is nothing more frustrating than when you carefully explain what you want and then they don't listen properly. It was also rushed since we started so late. I will not go back that's for sure.

I've been coming here for a year now after being disappointed with another salon and their hairdressers. Louis who does my hair is a godsend. He understands exactly what I want (classy, long, chic, elegant style) and he's got a fine eye for what is beautiful. Initially i didn't know what I wanted to do with my hair (at my last appointment) but Louis knew exactly what would suit my face shape and what style would look good on me. I'm super pleased with his suggestion and the result! As for the salon, it's clean, tidy and the staff are all very friendly. Louis and TG Long acre are now my go-to salon. Cheers guys!

This was my first visit to this Toni & Guy and my hair was in need of some help! Louis did a great job and I was very pleased with the result and someone who isn't used to short hair, I liked it straight away. He also gave me tips on how to style. I will be returning and would definitely recommend!
I had a mixed experience at Long Acre. First, I booked to see a specific person to colour my hair (a friend recommended her) but I was given someone else without any prior notice at all. Thankfully, it worked out good as the other senior technician did an amazing job with the colour and I’m very happy with it.
However, Beware the stylist who cut my hair - *******. When she asked about my haircare regime and I told her I colour my hair myself and use standard brands on daily basis, she pulled faces, started exclaiming “no no no” loudly in front of people and was totally unprofessional, making a lot of unnecessary judgmental comments. I couldn’t figure out whether she was trying to patronise me or put me down. Maybe it wasn’t intentional but a very stupid tactic to get you to buy their products and visit them more often, but for the price you pay at Toni and Guy, the least you deserve is respect. Plus I felt she essentially did what she wanted with my hair and didn’t really care what I was saying. It wasn’t until I washed my hair again that I realised it was chopped off a lot more than I wanted (because it had been straightened) and so my request to keep the same/similar length was ignored.
Otherwise, service was ok.
I recommend Alex for your colour - he shows true interest in getting the right colour for you, is friendly and does a great job.
Though I’m not sure I’d be visiting Long Acre again. Maybe a different T&G branch next time.
