Very efficient friendly happy staff most welcoming to patrons

I returned to Jam & Louise after 8 weeks ( usually go every 6 weeks). My hair as I went in looked OK and now I look fantastic. This salon is marvellous and all my friends say how fantastic my hair looks. My holiday photos show me look great, with a fantastic hair cut and a super colour from start to finish. Thank you Louise

Excellent colourist - always tones my colour perfectly, never looks yellow which is really rare with the tone of blonde that I have. Cut and finish is immaculate. All the staff are so friendly and professional.

Lovely Kate and Katie tended to me today. Love my new colour and cut and blow dry. Always love coming here. Everyone is so friendly and lovely.

I am very lucky I don’t need to visit every six weeks as I have naturally curly hair.
Julie has always cut my hair as she really knows how to cut the curls and get the best shape.
Even though I am not as regular as some clients I am always made to feel very welcome.

Louise has been doing my hair for years and she knows me well. I wanted to lighten my hair and after a full consultation decided on balayage. Julie 1st class as always. The lady who washed and dried my hair, however, could benefit from further training. She was very heavy handed, had sharp nails that caught my scalp and ears at times and failed to ask if the water temperature was ok and it was rather hot.

Once again l left feeling good. Great haircut, great service, in a very welcoming place. Next haircut already booked!

Hi this review is about the young girl who washed my hair today. Her nails are quite long and she scratched my neck a few times. She didn’t ask if the water was ok until she’d put shampoo on the hair. Twice she’s forgotten the Bond Pro conditioning step and had to be reminded. I don’t like to complain but how else will she learn otherwise.

Kind reception, classy salon decor and very good service . Louise discussed very thoroughly what style to go for. She has years of great experience and cuts well. The shampoo experience wasn’t rushed , with a lovely head massage incorporated in the wash. Thankyou for all the helpful hints to maintain the style !

My stylist was Josie. She is really helpful and friendly.

I went to have a toner done to correct a faded balayage and I am very happy with the results! It looked better than the original balayage and Josie and all the girls were lovely and listened to all I wanted done... not my first time there but I am always pleasantly surprised at how good the results are!

Josie cut and coloured my hair beautifully after an initial discussion about style and colour options and the obligatory patch test. The whole salon experience was very enjoyable, including the cups of tea and biscuits and the smiling faces of all the staff; I’m delighted with the style, cut and colour of my hair and will look forward to my next appointment at Jam in December!

Louise took the time to ask if I was pleased with my colour and cut from my last appointment. She listened carefully as to how I would like my hair cut today, offering thoughtful suggestions of ideas.

First time i had a cut done here. Wouldnt say wow but was ok. I had to tell the stylist how to cut. Then finally got the result! However looking at it a day after it still isnt what i wanted.

Loved how she transformed my hair, up to my expectations couldn’t ask for a more beautiful colour but I paid more than I even did anywhere and when I went home I realised I was full of stains all over my neck/cheeks/ears and the worst of all was a squared stain on my forehead (which I had mentioned to her) very visible and is not going away. You would expect that you pay a lot and the care you receive, not only the colour done, it’s up to the standard but unfortunately it wasn’t for me and if it wasn’t for the amazing colour I’m not sure I would come back.
This said I will definitely give a second chance but I’m not very happy about it.
