I had a really lovely haircut with Tyler, who did a great job giving my frizzy overgrown hair some layers and shape. The products he used made my hair smell amazing. I also found the option of a quiet appointment in front of some art so relaxing! Will definitely be back again x

Visited today for the first time for me (my children, sister and friends have all been before). I had Meg who listened to me and talked me through everything. She did my roots and gave me a fantastic cut and blow dry. Will definitely not be my only visit.

Mariana is clearly very experienced, she listened to what I wanted and gave me a perfect cut as well as lovely blow dry - all in 1 hour with a fab coffee thrown in!

My daughter wanted her hair short for her 13th birthday and Jasmine just was awesome in her interpretation of what daughter wanted. Now she hadn’t stopped smiling, amazing and can’t wait to come back. V cool salon indeed. Oh I got mine cut too as there was space and my wife said I look a lot better, which I take as a result!

Daniel is the first hairdresser I’ve had who can handle my curls and my minimal approach to styling. He always makes me look good and feel confident. I love that there’ll be a new exhibition every time I visit and I adore the disco loo!

I don’t often write reviews… This is a lovely place to have your haircut - I can only speak for Daniel - but I can’t imagine him having team members that aren’t as good as he is - he is very good. I thought I would have some anxiety without seeing myself in the mirror during the cut but I completely forgot about it and happily stared into the art offering ahead. Once he had cut my hair all the anxieties disappeared and I’ve never worried again - I think he’s a bit of a genius - he just always makes me feel good and attractive and new. He thinks of everything - even going to the loo is a laugh - I think that is something to applaud… ??????

Love my new cut done by Idi! I told her to feel free to do what she wanted and I really like the results. She’s great with layers and wavy/curly hair, do trust her on that!! She was really sweet too; even though we had less time due to me arriving late, I didn’t feel like she was in a rush at all! Her haircutting was done so delicately it lulled me to sleep. She gives great service, she tells you how to care for your hair and applies recommended products to your hair to let you try it out :) Daniel’s service was great as well, kind guy in a snazzy suit xx Thanks for the rose tea and the beautiful haircut!

Jasmine was wonderful, friendly and professional, gave me a head massage that sent me to sleep and gave me a lovely cut.

Amazing experience. Idi is incredible, I’ve never had a better haircut - I actually almost can’t believe how much I love it. Idi listened carefully to what I was looking for and gave me loads of advice and info about the hairstyle and taking care of hair in general. I should say I got a shag haircut, did some research before and saw that Idi is THE expert. I went out straight after getting my cut and got several comparisons to Farrah Fawcett from total strangers that night - so yes, you could say that my shag and I are extremely satisfied customers!! Thanks again Idi and the lovely welcoming DKUK team too X

A relaxing and stimulating way to spend a Saturday morning - getting a cool haircut, some great colour and looking at art. Rosa did a great job on my hair. I've been coming to DKUK for over a year now and love having such a great hairdresser and creative space in my neighbourhood.

Idi is amazing. She patiently listened to what I wanted to have done and added some brilliant advice.

i was really worried because i have never had my hair dyed or done professionally but it was truly an amazing service!! i felt so comfortable and the outcome was stupendous i love it so much!!! and i truly need that spotify playlist!!!!

It’s the best

I came with my baby and Marjane was extremely accomodating and gave up her break to allow me to look after the baby. Also my haircut came out very well and the styling was excellent.

I'm pretty sure this is the best haircut I've ever had... Marjana gave great advice and I've never been so pleased with a hair cut. I loved the way she dried it and even after I've washed and dried it myself I still like it (usually I'm disappointed because it never looks as good as when it's first done!) really relaxing vibe at DKUK, fantastic art and friendly folks.

My second shag cut with Idi! Always the best, very happy with it :) I recommend to everyone!

Ive never had a haircut take more than 1 hour before, so was surprised when it took nearly two - but was very pleased with the result. Went from long shapeless hair to short and layered to enhance my natural curl. I didn’t like it at first (!!) as people often don’t when they have a change, but love it now. Thank you!

Jasmeen really listened to what wanted I wanted whilst suggesting ideas. I love my cut, will do definitely be goj g back and the products are sustainable and ethical. Plus, a free flat white. Win win!

I have finally found a local hairdresser that pushes the boundaries with respect to hair cuts but also provides an inspiring experience where you don’t look at your reflection in the mirrors but art pieces. It’s a salon/art gallery where you trust communication is a must, you don’t need to control the process but you know the results will be spectacular!

This was my second time at DKUK and also with Idi. I got a great haircut just like last time, but this time I trusted the no mirror/ looking at art experience more. It’s so much more relaxing not having to look at yourself. I also really enjoyed the head massage I received and also the fact that Idi totally respected me not wanting any styling products in my hair this time.

Great service! I went in to get some layers, without really knowing what I wanted. I received helpful advice and I am very happy with my haircut. Rosa also helped me with choosing a shampoo and conditioner that is right for my hair. An efficient and friendly service!

Idi got the length and what I wanted just right. I also loved the blow-dry, shame my hair only stayed like that for a few hours as it's so straight.

They're raising their prices in November which puts the haircut on the higher side, but hope I can still afford it as the service is great.

I visited DKUK for the first time this week and had a wash, cut and blow dry with Marjana. Marjana was incredibly attentive and gave me a great cut. I really liked not having a mirror to look at myself in and although I initially found the art on display not to my taste I enjoyed how after a time I found myself engrossed. And the lack of chat was very welcome.

Rosa was very attentive and helpful. She talked me through what was happening and each step of the process. The result was just what I envisioned. Great work! :)

Had a lovely experience at DKUK, the atmosphere was very calming and loved not having fluorescent lights and a mirror in my face! Idi was very thoughtful and gave me the exact haircut I didn't know I wanted! (I had been very indecisive!)
