I love coming here! Edward knows instinctively what to do with my hair and I always leave feeling great about the cut and colour.

I have been going to Edward James for 8 years and I cannot go anywhere else. Lively team, beautiful salons and real care taken from start to finish… along with a good dose of laughter. Freddy is a joy and is an expert at dealing with my thicker hair! What a team!

Harrison was my stylist and did an amazing job blowing and styling my hair. I have long extensions and he created a stunning soft wave which has lasted. I felt so confident in his abilities I have booked myself in for colour.

As always Laylah knows how best to help a woman be her most comfortable and look her best.

Thank you again so much to Leylah and also Brenda and the rest of the team who made my visit to the hairsalon so special! And I love my haircolour! I always enjoy so much to get my hair done at the salon in Putney!

Laylah is a lovely person who gave me a great haircut and colour. She put her heart and soul (and expertise) into maximising the experience on both a human and hair dressing level.

Wonderful and made my daughter feel really special and at ease. She wants to get her hair done every week now!

I’ve been going to Edward James Salon for over 10 years, and Edward has been my go-to since our very first appointment. I have type 3a curls, which can be difficult to cut and style, but he always gets them exactly right. My hair not only looks amazing when I leave the salon, but it also grows out beautifully and I always get compliments. The salon itself has such a welcoming, professional atmosphere, and the whole team is lovely. I always feel cared for, never rushed, and Edward’s product recommendations have been a game-changer for keeping my curls healthy. Edward is truly amazing—skilled, consistent, and kind—and I couldn’t recommend him and the salon more highly!

Very welcoming, lovely relaxing massage, listened and cut and styled exactly how I wanted

I have had my hair done by Tolomani for a few years now. I keep coming back because he’s the full package for me. I walk in needing my hair done and I walk out feeling amazing! I’m not that great with deciding what I want but Tolz knows what would suit me and he gets it right every time. Also I Love our chats! The EJ staff are so hospitable! My mint tea was perfect! All the jokes and laughs lights up the salon. It’s always a blast. Thank you Tolz for always working your magic on me. I am never disappointed!

Overall disappointing sorry ti say. Why? The person who did my colour was Katrina I think her name was but it was not on the list on this survey! (blond young woman) I paid £98 for a not very well executed hair colour. It was sloppily applied. She plonked a piece of silver foil on top of my head, literally a square balanced on the top of my head., did not come to check how things were going and the product started dripping down the side of my face and forehead. I had to pull tissues and call another member of staff over as I could not see her. She did not any protection(towel) over my shoulders meaning risk of colour going on my clothes. Given the product is clearly very liquid thus Sitka have been done. Good job I did not wear white, I am guessing you gave me the most junior person but the price did not reflect this. I felt it was n unsupervised trainee!
The good thing about the experience was she was polite and kind. She invited the lady who did my haircut and recommended I do a phasing into my grey by doing semi permanent colour. She followed my instruction for a lighter color. The consultation was good. The final colour result was very good.

The care and attention Dalis pays to my colour is exemplary.

From the moment you walk into the Putney salon, you are given undivided attention. From the pre-wash shoulder, neck and scalp massage, cuddles for my little pooch and of course, the expert cut and finish for me. The whole experience is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. I walked out feeling and looking great! It was my second visit and I will be staying very loyal!

As usual Leylah did an amazing hair colour job. I live to come to her and the Edward James team after work, getting relaxing massages and some Prosecco. It is such a great and relaxing routine!!

I always have such a lovely time when I book in for my hair cut with Brenda, she knows exactly how to treat my hair and the team is always so nice as well, can’t wait for the next appointment!

Oliver coloured my hair with highlights and blow dryed it immaculately. The colour is lovely. He also recommended a treatment to not dry my hair out. Highly recommend him!

I’ve been going to Natalie for nearly 6 years now. Despite moving house and the salons now being 1-1.5 hours from me - I still travel to get my hair dyed with her (to whichever salon she’s at). She’s absolutely incredible and I’m always so, so happy with my hair afterwards. She’s also lovely and goes out of her way to make it an amazing experience! I wouldn’t go anywhere else :)

Dalis is superb in her attention to her clients, she listen carefully and apply great technical expertise in everything when consulted. She’s very professional and at the same time empathetic, fun to be with, and always provide a phenomenal advice in all treatments in the saloon as well as in all the wide range of products than Aveda and other brands have. Always a very satisfying experience.

Oliver was patient and listened to how I wanted the colour and cut to go. Very pleased with final result. Highly recommend the salon, where everyone made me feel welcome, and Oliver.

Leylah did an amazing job cutting my hair with a cool newish style. And she also did a super massage as I had a very stressful day. And of course the prosecco is als always the cherry on the cake!🤗
