Had a perfect experience with Edward James recently. Misty did a great cut & blow dry with my difficult hair. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made great personal suggestions that would work with my hair. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, topping up my glass and staying extra late (9:30pm!) to make sure that I got great results. Thanks again!

It was my first visit to the salon. I found it very restful and the service was great throughout. It was also surprisingly quiet for a hair salon which I really liked. Misty was great, listened and didn’t try to persuade me into something I couldn’t do myself.

Natalie was amazing!
I came in feeling very nervous about having to make a big change and big cut due to my psoriasis. Natalie however took the time to make me feel very comfortable and show me all the gentle products she will use to relieve my itchy scalp. The explanations were clear and delivered with such kindness. My overall experience has been by far the best since this was my first time ever using this salon. I will most definitely be a repeat customer as I don’t think I want anyone else except Natalie to touch my hair!

This is the second time Vicky has coloured my hair and I’m honestly able to say that no other colourist has ever come close to the results that she has. My hair is highlighted blonde and looks so incredibly natural. She is so clever not just at a natural colour but also at understanding exactly the look I’m hoping for.

Edward and his team at Richmond are without doubt the best hair stylist and hair salon I have ever been to. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Attention to detail is amazing from the beautiful head and shoulder massage, the friendliness, the advice, the tray presentation with drinks, the beautiful, stylish environment and of course finally the hair. What can I say. Edward is an absolute star. I’d forgotten that my curly mad hair could actually be cut, coloured and styled to make me look and feel good again. He did that and now this is the only salon I will visit from now on. The salon is beautiful and is such a relaxing environment to settle into for a couple of hours. The chair massage when your hair is washed is another lovely touch to help with the relaxation process and they know how to actually wash your hair, not just stroke it like I have experienced elsewhere. Edward obviously trains his team very well and has a lovely relationship with them which is obvious. They all love and respect him. Good for any successful business - keep your team happy and they will look after you which in turn looks after the clients. Try it and you won’t regret it.

I was a model for iona at richmond for a trim and blow dry on my long curly hair. Initially iona was only due to give me a massage and prep for anothe stylist but said stylist was held up and iona then also performed the cut. The staff were friendly and iona was very attentive and efficient.
As a single parent I hardly get to have a true salon experience but I am treated so well at Edward James as a model.
I love edward James's salons, always enjoy going as paid or model experience , and I get the impression that Edward James is a great employer.

Lovely experience from the moment you walk in the door - Natalie is an expert and talks you through any issues but more importantly actually listens to every question and concern. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Also stocks fantastic products which you are always encouraged to try while in the salon but never pressured to purchase. And there is a mini-loyalty scheme whereby you can use a % of anything you have spent on services and products towards your next visit.

This was my second visit to the salon and after the first this was a massive disappointment. I was hoping to get my hair dyed but was not presented with an options list and so left with my hair basically looking the same as when I went in. Considering I spent £150 I am less than impressed.

I religiously make a pilgrimage from deepest, darkest West Sussex to see Edward James, chief coiffeur, every six weeks because no one comes close to making my hair look as fabulous or, more importantly, making me feel like me again. Not head down, stooped, ‘don’t look at my hair’ me, but …… ME!!!
