HOB Hair Salon Whetstone, London

First time at Hobs Whetstone after my local salon in High Barnet closed down permanently, I decided to see Laura, what can I say absolutely fantastic, she's professional and has a nice graceful approach to her work, she fixed my months of neglected hair into a lovely blonde colour with a superb cut and finish, delighted with the end result! Highly recommend Laura, look forward to my next visit!

Debbie always knows how to work magic on transforming my hair. I have very thick curly hair and it takes me hours to make it sleek, straight and get rid of frizz but Debbie makes it look so easy and struggle free. She always put in so much love and care into my hair which is why I am always going back weekly. She is always so bubbly, kind and comforting. Having a hairdresser that knows your hair better than myself makes me feel so happy and good about myself knowing I can relax and leave it to her. I had a bouncy blow dry and a toner. She recommended me to buy the dark oil range as I will be on holiday for 3 weeks. Dreading to not have her do my hair for three weeks. The best thing is her blow dry lasts me a good week and half of not having to touch it with any heat at home. I always get asked where I do my hair and i recently recommended my sister in law who also had a cut, wash and blow dry done right after me. Who also said Debbie worked magic. After becoming a new mum, her hair was so neglected and Debbie gave her hair a little TLC and she left feeling so happy. I will definitely be bringing more friends and family along. Thank you Debbie.

I started visiting David by the recommendation of a lovely receptionist. (I missed to ask her name, she is regular at the High Barnet shop, works at Whetstone Saturdays) She called me, explained the situation how my long term hairdresser has left for good. She knew my style and needs, and kindly recommended someone else with the confidence of an expert.
(She is one of the sweetest persons on Earth)
My new catch, David is a true artist, very creative and skilled, a master of styling. He can make a miracle to my fair, thin hair, creates a very distinctive, irregular style every time.
I have very high expectations, still he exceeds it every time!
I also like how punctually
the timings, bookings are managed, the vibe of the place is happy, friendly, easygoing.
I simply love that place!

I just wanted a wash and blow dry as I had sn event to attend and Lawrence delivered as always, and I came out with my hair looking stunning. We also chatted about my colour options for my next big appointment and he gave his normal intelligent and imaginative ideas tailored to my hair, my lifestyle, my personality, the cut and my needs. It is wonderfully reassuring to be the client of such a marvellous professional. My husband was happy to have the cheapest barber cuts but, since going to Lawrence, he will not let anyone else cut his hair.

EMMA did a marvellous job, both doing the highlights and restylling my hair to march photos I took with me.

Christie has been doing my daughters hair for awhile now and doing a fantastic job. I would also consider using her in the future for my hair.

My usual stylist and colourist weren't available for my appt so Olivia did my colour and Laura cut my hair. Both of the girls were lovely, friendly but most of all, clearly good at what they do. I love my hair again! Everyone at Hobs Whetstone is always really friendly and super helpful.

Emma is my stylist and I have been with her for over 16 yrs . Moved from Barnet , I’m afraid the experience is not good , the salon is overcrowded, the space is not adequate , moved from chair to chair , time delays . Angela who washes my hair is excellent but even that feels rushed as she always has someone waiting for her ., offered a cup of tea but didn’t get it no time . You really need to think about how you have crammed 2 salons into 1 and I’m afraid it’s no longer a good experience. Simone is excellent and tries her best making sure everyone is ok but that’s hard for her . If they are running late there is no where to wait . I hope my message reaches the people at the senior management—- consider moving us back to Barnet !!!

No space to put your coat and one toilet
you have us not on keeping of a five star

Liane did my colour was great but as there were so many people in the salon
I had to sit near where the coats were!
You need more space for clients especially if you want to keep them!!!

I had a consultation with Laura and all I knew was that I wanted a complete style change. Laura listened to my requirements patiently and she gave her honest and creative suggestions. The choice of colour and her cutting style were extraordinary. She did a fantastic job that has been easy to maintain and restyle even months after my visit. I get compliments about the colour all the time and I absolutely love my hair. she is amazing and i will go to her for my her for the rest of my life now ;)

Booked an on-the-day blow dry….. Laurence, with his kind manner and relevant sociability made me feel confident and happy enough to ask if he had time to cut too. I left with a fantastic cut and lovely blow dry and feeling completely fabulous!

Laura has a way of making you feel relaxed and in the safest hands possible. She’s charming, conversation flows and is so much more than the usual ‘have you been away’ stuff. Her cutting is great, she listens and gives great advice.

My husband and I have always visited the Barnet branch. Adrian has been our hairdresser for several years and we travel from Liverpool every six weeks. We always received a warm welcome and Adrian is absolutely the most talented and professional hairdresser we have met.

I have my haircut with Christie and have been for the last 5-6 years. Christie knows my hair very well and always spends enough time with me to ensure my hair is cut and styled the way i want it. The salon and staff itself is great, everyone is very friendly and my experience there is always enjoyable. Thank you Hobs - Whetstone!

Amazing work as always, my hair feels so healthy and the colour is perfect, exactly what I wanted. Sian is so lovely and goes above and beyond !

Really nice and friendly, we had a giggle and she gave my hair great volume and style. Nice experience as always.

Unfortunately my colour did not take properly this time. The hair hairline around the ears was still grey and colour a lot lighter on top. After first wash there was a lot of grey that was uncovered. Dissapointed as was leaving on hols the next day. Hopefully Laurence can sort this on my return. Definately a one off as he is very good
