After a lot if research I booked a hair cut. Went for most senior stylist with hope to get amazing hair cut .I was disappointed with the result that seemed as if a non trained immature hand had touched my hair .It was just before my holidays .Being frustrated contacted them again .They were fair enough to book another free appointment with a junior but it compromised my hair colour booking and I had yo travel without getting my hair coloured .To my surprise junior was miles better and she spent good time to rescue the damaged hair style .It was now comparatively better .I have to give her margin that ***** was styling hair that was badly done and I did not want my hair length short . She has done a good job and I feel she might had done even better if I would have gone to her first . Now my hair is too thin at end with gaps and no shape at the end but at least overall there is some symmetry and style but it is not something I would have expected after seeing such amazing reviews. I just wish they would have spent enough time to understand what I wanted and should have considered that hair style needs symmetry and style not random scissor touch .I see my hair and get frustrated everyday .I am waiting until they are long again to re-style .I would advise their team to spend more time for consultation to get better results .I want to appreciate ***** she is very nice stylist and did give enough time for consultation .overall I am just disappointed but I have to say they all are very polite and nice but the job I wanted was not as I expected from this saloon .I wrote a review earlier after having a prompt from the salon text message but that has not been published. I hope this time it will be and they will make changes as I suggested .

Nice style, just not what was asked for

My 10 year old had her hair styled at T&G Altrincham last week - short on one side, into a graduated bob on the other. It looked great on the day / in the salon by as soon as she left it reverted back to her natural split (as we had told the stylist beforehand that it would) and she was therefore left with stringy long bits hanging over the short haired side. We had both made it very clear before the cut that although she was happy to experiment, the style had to be based around her natural split - she leads such an active lifestyle (cartwheels etc non-stop) that the short hair would always revert back to its natural split. We went back to the salon a few days later to ask the stylist to tidy up the few loose strands in question (would have taken a few minutes only) - and we were made to feel unwelcome like we were asking too much. At £30 for a 10 year old, I really don’t think we were. In a nutshell, take your children elsewhere. Not a great introduction to salon etiquette / customer service for my daughter unfortunately and I will have to get the scissors to it myself.

Great cut, shame about the colour

*Please note I don't know the name of the lady who coloured my hair.*

During my last visit I discovered my colourist had left (Nicole) and I was passed to a new lady who wasn't great. We agreed a pale pink toner finish but it came out bright illuminous pink so I had to spend another hour in the salon having it washed out. Even I knew she had left it in too long at the roots. The pink lasted a day whereas previously with Nicole it lasted 3 weeks. I wouldn't have probably felt the need to write this review but there was no apology, and even worse, a few comments suggesting I had been the one at fault for not knowing my colour, or that it wasn't their fault because Nicole hadn't left notes. I spend significant sums of money on my hair here and have been a loyal customer for many years but unfortunately this will be the last time I visit. My cut was ok (unfortunately Angela is on maternity) and the juniors were lovely.

This being the first time I've even entered a Tony&Guy' salon, I actually held quite high expectations after enviously watching those lucky enough to enter that upper echelon of barbering society. It was a foreign place in comparison to my usual barbers. Ignas was friendly and formal at first, guiding me through the process. I'm more than satisfied with the conclusion of the appointment, my barber was funny, extremely talented and most importantly, left me looking and feeling as fresh as I've felt in months. I recommend this establishment and even more Mr.Ignas. Cheers mate!
