MJ’s Hair and Beauty

Went for a change from my usual highlights and Beth advised some colour blocking to give an overall darker look. So pleased with the result. Beth’s attention to detail is great. Laurie helped with my finish and is also fab. Received loads of compliments today and one colleague even asked to photograph my hair to show her hairdresser to ask for the same!

Gab always makes me feel wonderful. I went from blonde to dark this time which is a massive change for me but knew I was in the right hands and I absolutely love it and already received so many compliments. Never disappoints just an amazing hairdresser.

I love ❤️ going to have my hair done it is a lovely family atmosphere we have a laugh and lovely cuppa . If you feel down when you get there but by the time you leave you have a smile ? on your face as well as a nice hair cut thank you girls xxx

I was super nervous as stylists never seem to get the cut right when it comes to curly hair but Beth was excellent! She listened, agreed to use her fingers instead of a comb and cut my curls dry and laxed as I have a mixture of curls, waves and coils. She did an amazing job and I’m absolutely thrilled. She’ll be my go to every time from now on.

Hadn't visited for about 2 years but so glad I went back. Laurie was so nice and listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and talked me through everything she did. Laurie gave me a graduated Bob with a small fringe which was just what I wanted. Will definitely be going back. Thanks Laurie.

Today I took my daughter to get her hair by Andy . She was amazing from beginning to end, her & my daughter chatted & laughed the whole time and she did exactly what my daughter wanted and it looked amazing. My daughter wants highlights but has chose to wait until Andy is in work and can do these. Absolutely amazing young lady, you are very lucky to have her in your salon!

Jay was lovely and so were the other staff members who did bits on my hair, the colour was great my only issue was the dye was quite messy and wasn’t blended in well so looked a bit untidy at the front and just not what I expected really unfortunately but other than that all good!

I’ve been coming to MJs for a few years now and never been disappointed with the service and care provided.

My recent visit was no different, Beth listened closely to what I wanted, talked through everything with me and I’m so happy with the outcome.. she remained polite and helpful, even when it was past closing time and she was still finishing my hair.

The atmosphere was also fun and happy. Was a joy to be there.

Thanks for being so lovely everytime I come in, and for taking such good care of my hair!

As always Lauren did a great job; my daughter is a little nervous about hair cuts as her hair is very long and she loves it that way. Lauren did exactly what Emily needed and she is delighted.

Unfortunately I've come away from my appointment extremely unhappy and not sure if I will return.

It's a shame but my appointment before this one was really good that this has caught me off guard.

My appointment was for 2:15 hairdresser started @ 2:40 I had 2 stylists (full head of foils) I didn’t want 2 stylists as they have different techniques they did want to add a 3rd I said no. Paid my bill but didn’t check the amount until later to find I was charged £99 for full head of highlights and a wet trim only. Contacted the salon girl really didn’t have a clue said it was £60 per stylist I asked for the manager she said she would speak with someone she then advised £32 per stylist and £35 for wet trim - this not what is advertised on the price list. The stylist was very good and I was happy with their service unfortunately due to the bad pricing and some employees basically lying I will not be returning to this salon and would not recommend to others
