My daughter has been going to Danielle for a few years now - she has long curly hair. She loves the way Danielle blow dries her hair straight - so lovely and soft and smooth. Danielle, is so kind and caring and listens to what both Mum and daughter want out of the hair cut. I can’t recommend Danielle enough!

I always come in here to get my hair styled and cut. Alex is wonderful, and I always leave with fabulous hair! My daughter also loves getting her hair styled here too. Highly recommend.

Went for a trim and also a change from full length, to a fringe. My hair has been transformed and completely softens my face shape with the fringe. Brilliant cut!!

They made me an appointment with Helen and I was really impressed with the cut she did for me and she was a lovely person too. So glad I made that chance visit.

Had a fabulous cut & blow dry with the lovely Danni. Always leave feeling gear! It’s difficult to get some relaxing time with a 15 week old baby but the girls in the salon made us both feel really at ease and even helped entertain my little boy when he was restless x

After not being able to leave the house for five months (apart from hospital visits) due to a back injury I’ve had to cancel several appointments as Ive been unable to sit on a chair for long.
My grey roots were getting so bad, my self esteem was at an all time low, however, I managed to make my appointment today with Helen and although it was difficult due to my pain, the whole team at Strands Whiteley looked after me.
I was so happy with the end result, as it made me look my normal self again, and I was also obviously very overwhelmed that I’d managed to get through the pain & get out of the house, I was reduced to tears.
I’m so pleased with the colour, cut and the soft curl styling and can’t thank Helen enough xx

Before coming to Strands I’d had a dreadful cut. Kelly is sorting it out for me and it’s looking so much better already. Wonderful care and excellent attention to detail. Thank you Kelly and all the team.

A really great experience all round. Exactly the right balance of listening and offering ideas when your going for a new style.

I booked my appointment well in advance and advised Strands on booking that I wanted my hair set into a 1950’s style. I advised that my hair takes over an hour to dry in rollers under a hood dryer and I also emailed a photo of myself with my hair set into the style I wanted so that the stylist would be prepared.
On arrival for my appointment the stylist asked me ‘what are we doing today’, I was shocked considering the effort I had made in making the salon aware of what I wanted and sent a photo. I explained what I wanted and showed the stylist a photo.
I had my hair washed and in conversation I said to the stylist that I had booked an early appointment because I knew how long my hair would take to dry under a hood dryer. To which she responded that the salon does not have setting rollers and ‘doesn’t do it that way’. I asked what way it was going to be done and she advised it would be blow dried, pinned and then styled.
I told her that this would not hold all day but she was insistent that it would be fine.
I was not happy but I let her carry on as I had no other option or time to go elsewhere as it was for my brothers wedding.
The stylist finished my hair and it was not what I wanted and I knew it would not hold all day. I was finished around 9.30am and by the wedding at 2pm the curl had dropped out. My hair looked messy instead of bouncing curls.
I was extremely disappointed considering I had advised what I wanted and was told that this would be fine.
To have to pay £40 for something that I was not happy with for such an important day is not good enough.
I would not recommend this salon to anyone as they clearly did not listen to my requirements. The saying ‘Failing to prepare is preparing to fail’ and that is exactly what they did.... Fail.
