Oli is fantastic - kind, professional and a bit of a perfectionist which is great for styling hair! I have extremely thick hair which can be a challenge, but Oli gives lots of time, patience & attention to detail - along with the skill & knowledge of what will best suit me. It’s always relaxing and I leave feeling good about how I look. Thanks Oli!

I love going to have my hair done by Hannah, it’s always lovely to see her and she really cares about what she’s doing. Hannah is a genius with colour and I always leave feeling great.

Long hair that needed a tidy up, so nothing special this time but Jack is a great stylist and we have been through many great haircuts together. Some very short, some a bit longer. Always stylish.

it’s such good value for money. I’ve been to lots of salons in London, and have paid up to three times what I pay at Open and these “premium salons” are not a patch on Open.
I’ve found my home at Open, and will never go anywhere else.

Scarlet was absolutely lovely and made me feel so comfortable. I absolutely love how my hair turned out and couldn’t have asked for a better or more relaxing experience. Also the assistant was so lovely (can’t quite remember her name) so overall would definitely return!

Hannah is the Foils Queen! Over the last 3-4 years, shr has taken me from bright blonde highlights to bronde balayage and back again. Hannah listens and provides excellent advice and feedback on my colour. I trust her implicitly with my hair, having had poor experiences at other salons before I started to visit Open Hairdressing. I value her judgement and given she’s fully booked until the end of May, clearly so do her other regular clients! I was so lucky to get an appointment with her on the first Saturday after lockdown was lifted.

The only reason I wouldn't give her a 5 star review is because she'd end up busier than she already is and I'd never get an appointment.

He is a good listener who has the ability to translate customer ideas into a great looking haircut. As a customer I can relax and enjoy the experience knowing the end result will be what I asked for.

I’ve been going to Open Hairdressing in Harpenden since it opened a few years ago. The service is always excellent. Everyone, without exception, is friendly and professional. I trust them implicitly with my long highlighted curly hair. Oli cut my hair perfectly yesterday: I asked for 5 inches off and he diligently checked I was happy with the length as he was lopping off my raggy ends. I’m delighted with my now just below shoulder length hair.
I highly recommend Open Hairdressing to anyone looking for a professional salon in the area.
