Dean was very welcoming from the start. Easy to talk to throughout. Identified what I wanted with my hair nice and quickly with some helpful suggestions. Hair cut feels lovely and healthy which was what I wanted. Nice and happy. Has my hair done via the “NHS free hair cut day” deal. Very thankful to Toni and Guy for offering this.

After lockdown my hair had grown quite long and I wasnt sure if I should keep it that way. Katie styled it in a natural easy to keep style and I'm very pleased. The salon was covid protected and I felt very safe. It was so good to see them all.

Just wanted to write this to reassure anyone who is worried about having their hair cut and hopefully put your mind at ease.

This is my experience in detail...

I arrived on time, the doors were wide open and no one was queueing so I went straight to the reception desk. (If someone is at the desk you are asked to social distance in a queue which at busy times could go outside).

Adam greeted me in his usual friendly, kind manner and made me immediately feel looked after and safe.

The reception desk has perspex screens and everyone is wearing full visas and aprons to protect you. There are hand sanitiser bottles everywhere. All customers I saw were wearing masks, which will be compulsory soon.

Adam took me to my seat and talked me through the procedure. A paper carrier bag was waiting for me with a single use face mask, a single use apron, two personal towels and a paper cup (for water if you need it). I put the apron and face mask on.

My stylist, Lauren, came over, as lovely as ever, and took me to the wash basin were she washed my hair. She did a lovely job of my hair cut, as usual, and it was so lovely to have some sort of normality.

Everywhere is spotless and the hair dressing stations are cleaned after every client.

The only thing I would do differently next time would be to bring my own face mask as the one supplied was quite big for me. Not a complaint just a personal preference.

Thank you so much everyone for making this such a safe and positive experience.

Well after saying to Richard to get creative... i was not expecting what I got. What was the best part is seein the twinkle in Richard eyes as I said “go play”, the colour was in and so was my excitement. Which led to such a wonderful head massage... my brain has been super stressed since Covid for a number of reasons. Then on to Dean, the hair stylist with swaga ... he was awesome not only in the cut, but the banter was epic. I like to break down the barriers in life and it’s good that the team can hold that and still be professional. It’s a real skill and I so want to get more of the electric blue in my hair hahah ... I have only just left. Haha. Gutted that the biscuits and cuppa tea has stopped but glad I got a refreshing drink anyway.

So fabulous to be back at T&G today for a haircut. Katie has been cutting my hair for about 14 years and it was so lovely to see her, and the rest of the team. Thank you!

Great cut as usual. Everything was well organised and spotless. Made to feel comfortable by all the staff and good system for minimising contact during these times.

It was so lovely to be back. I was taken care of and all social distancing measures where in place. My own welcome back bag with mask, gown and one use towel. Cleaning and wiping down all areas as soon as they where vacated.
Felt so safe and it was good to be back in Richards capable hands

The salon was super clean and went to great lengths to meet health and safety measures to staff and customers. I was very impressed with the PPE customer pack I received upon entry (my mask, gown, cup, towel etc). I was so glad to be back with the team for my hair cut & colour after 22 long weeks and they made me feel at ease. Ive already booked my next appointment too. I feel more like myself again after my first visit back to Toni & Guy, Hemel Hempstead. Thank You to Sydney too.
