At The Lounge

I can’t recommend The Lounge enough - I moved from London and was really stuck with where to get my hair done but from the off, the lounge has been better than any salon I visited in London over the 10 years I lived there. Sarah is amazing and so are the rest of the team! The salon is spotless and the products are great (I now use them all at home too.)

Betsy was very friendly and was able to colour match my hair(roots) perfectly. She listened to what I would like and has given me great suggestions for what we can do going forward and how we can improve and lift the colour. I am looking forward to my next appointment.

Great first experience in this lovely salon.. From being shampooed in the very comfortable chair which elevated my legs and the back massager to my fantastic stylist who put me at ease, as we discussed my requests..I was very pleased with the result..I will be back again!!

She asked what I wanted, made a helpful suggestion, and achieved what to my mind was a great result. This was more than I would normally pay for a haircut but the outcome fully justified it.

I really don't love my hair and expressed that in the salon l while I was there. I booked in for balayage and explained with picture reference that I wanted to keep the contrasting tones I had in my my hair and build on it. I explained that wanted the light parts lighter and higher but needed to keep the dark in my hair'. I also said absolutely no orange tones. And please pin my hair as I have an event . Instead I was talked into baby lights which I explained I was not familiar with and went with it out of trust. On reflection this was a complete mistake as the result is an all over lighter colour with an almost total loss of the contrast I had throughout the hair .. and to me my hair now looks totally orange in general as a result. It is so far away from what I wanted and asked for and when I explained this I was told next time you can add dark (??!) I also feel the roots are way too light. I as you can tell am seriously disappointed in the colour . As for the styling although it looked good at the time it was not pinned as asked instead I was told it would be done tighter to last. I explained that my hair falls quickly and was told to put some spray in when I got home (!!?) . Without any other options I did this as instructed but it fell so much it did not last till the following morning. I guess the worst part is when I look in the mirror all I see is orange and no contrasting colours. I don't hate it but it's about a million miles from love.. and really wish I hadn't done anything as I don't want to damage my hair and have spent quite a bit of money on this and feel like I wish I could go back before and start again.

Really great experience all round. Thoughtful and informed consultation, really friendly and attentive staff and expert colouring. Delighted.

It’s difficult to find a hairdresser that understands how to do a good curly cut, but today I had the best one ever. I’m so happy.

This was my first experience of this hairdressers and it was a lovely experience throughout. The cut and thinning was exactly as requested. Very pleased and would recommend, I’ll definitely be returning!

I’m really fussy over who cuts my hair and I was really nervous going to a new hairdresser but Betsy knew what she was doing and instantly put me at ease .
