I always have my hair cut by Rosalinda because she is so talented. She cuts it beautifully and my friends always comment on how stylish it is. She definitely deserves her promotion to head stylist. Congratulations Rosalinda !

I had a great experience this morning with Gemma and Chloe. Going in wasn’t sure what colour I wanted but Gemma just appeared to know what I was after and what would work on me. I am really pleased. Chloe also made sure I had my feet up and a proper head massage. Will be showcasing my new colour this afternoon ?

Having used this salon for many years before l moved away, l have returned and so happy, it was like l had never been away. Some of the original staff are still there and the younger ones are benefitting from their experience being passed on, along with the infamous name. A truly 5* star appointment, Emma (manager) is so lovely and felt like a lifetime friend within 5 minutes, which is important to me that l have trust and faith in my stylist. I love my cut, am returning for my colour so watch this space ? l could carry on but try them for yourself, you won't be disappointed...

Rosalinda aleays explains what she is going to do. She takes a lot of care over my difficult hair. She is brilliant.

Always fear the hairdresser more than the dentist. Stane makes it seem effortless but does amazing cuts that make you feel fab. Relaxed chat and no hard sell of products, she recommends things that are right for the customer. She is fab!

Although it's a lovely, welcoming, friendly place, I'm afraid to say I'm actually a little disappointed. I've had my hair dyed a number of times at T&G, and the colour's never quite what I expect (but maybe it's my fault and I'm not explaining it properly!). However this time I think I'm going to have to go somewhere else to see if they can rectify it... Sorry.

So happy with my cut - happy with every cut I've had actually.
Emma works with me and adapts my 'inspiration' images to my hair type (very thick) so I get the same look. My hair normally looks just as good after 4 - 6 weeks growth when I'm due a cut which for me is the measure of a really excellent stylist.

First can I stress that Rosalinda is lovely and did a good cut, and the welcome was excellent. But I would like to point out where I didn't enjoy my visit. I felt a bit of hard sell at products and colour despite me being clear I was happy with my own and had stopped colouring last year. My biggest problem however was with the other stylist who washed my hair - who, despite me having some 7" of silver growth and discussing how much I was looking forward to growing it long again, repeatedly told me "grey hair doesn't look good long". This was unprofessional and rude. I had to wait nearly half an hour as they were running over, and the appointment felt rushed. And when I came to pay, I was asked for £60 instead of the booked £55, which I successfully pointed out was incorrect. However, I feel even for £55 I should not have had to defend my decision to be long and silver, or indeed had to repeat so many times that I didn't want to colour again. I don't go to salons any more because I never find one that understands curly hair. There needs to be a complete rethinking in the hair industry of how to treat curly hair - despite repeatedly saying I wanted to dry it naturally she insisted on blowing it out - I should have put my foot down and refused but I felt under pressure as she said she "needed to check the cut". I'm annoyed I paid full price to be honest - cut is great but I felt I had to defend myself too much.

I thought the hair colour treatment I received was great. Rachel understood what I wanted to have done. My hair colour is back to being dark, which is how I like it to be. Very good value, I'm very happy and satisfied with my hair and with the service I received.
