I walked through the door of Jellybeanz for the first time trying not to cry because I'd had my hair really badly chemically damaged the day before elsewhere. It was completely fried and snapping off. It was also a very unattractive shade of khaki. I knew my hair was as bad as it gets. I thought realistically the only thing I could do was to shave my head. Grant introduced himself ,I didn't need to because one look at my head told him who I was. He seemed to suss me out at the same time as he was assessing my hair and before you knew it I was belly laughing. He was brutally honest about the state of my hair and what needed to happen and asked me to trust him. I already did. I left that day with a stunning hair cut I would never have been brave enough to try. My hair was treated until it felt like hair again,his assistant and even the other customers were so lovely to me,the atmosphere in the salon is so laid back and friendly which I really loved. I left that day looking and feeling like a different person. You would never have known what had happened to my hair . It really did look as though I'd gone for a radical restlye by choice. I've just been for my second visit and trusted him to do what needed to be done a second time. I was walking back to my car and I could see people looking at my hair . It looks amazing and it's so well cut you can't see how badly damaged it is ? he's a technical genius because there are parts of my hair that are only an inch long but on the surface I look like I've got a sleek jaw length Bob . For someone as talented as he is he's the most down to earth ,kindest most talented yet hilariously funny man you'll ever meet. I'm keeping him.

First went here in 2006 and moved back locally so went again for first time today . Super salon , Sophie was fantastic and perfectly cut my hair and enhanced with highlights . Friendly feeling in the salon and many other happy customers . Highly recommend and have booked another appointment already ? I am a extremely impressed .

18 months with no hairdresser and my curly mop was out of control and heavy. First time at Jellybeanz but researched on Whitstable social media site that Grant was fantastic with curly hair. Went in feeling terrified and left feeling on top of the world. Even persuaded me to get some colour - and it’s worked! Grant totally gets curly hair (a rare thing). Atmosphere was calm and fun. Tea practically on tap too. Thank you so much - highly recommend!

I could not wait to get my hair chopped after growing it for my wedding. So I googled and found this salon. Grant did a fantastic job and I feel 10 years younger!!!

Lovely salon

I hadn’t been to a salon for years so was a little scared, Grant just made me feel special and relaxed. I didn’t want too much cut off my hair but it is very thick and heavy, by the time Grant had finished taking the weight out I came out feeling so refreshed and my head felt so light. Lovely relaxing experience.

I had 10 months of lock down hair and wanted someone who could do men's medium length hair well so chose Grant based on the reviews here. What I wanted was fairly basic but the results were great, probably one of the best cuts I've had, so will go back again.

Great haircut for my daughter today!

My two daughter’s (age 4 & 6) had their long hair cut today. The hairdresser was very good with them and took her time. I am very pleased with the service & cut and will go back for future cuts.

Another fine haircut today from Grant! I’m so pleased with my cut. I have very fine and sparse hair and get a bit nervous getting my hair cut. But Grant always puts me at ease. Grant understood what I wanted with just a few words and a photo. The cut is really lovely and I am so pleased with the results!

Having waited for almost a year for a haircut I went to see Grant with a vague idea of what I wanted. He worked with the brief details I gave him and I walked out so happy with a smart hairstyle, feeling more confident that my lockdown hair was no longer. I visited Jelly Beanz for the first time yesterday and it will definitely be the first of many. I had a fantastic cut from Grant who took lots of time beforehand to discuss what I wanted and made brilliant suggestions so that I came out with a cut I loved. The salon has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are all so friendly. Special thanks also to Jules who took a lot of time to talk to me about my hair colour. Can't recommend the salon more highly.

Eva transformed my hair colour today from one that I hated to one that I love, making me feel much more confident. Grant updated my hair cut and I left the salon loving my new look. I was made to feel welcome and looked after very well. Such a friendly salon I will definitely be back soon

I made an appointment with Granr as Jelly Beanz had been recommended for hair loss sufferers. Grant was very understanding and styled my hair to make the best of my alopecia. I will be going back

Grant is a legend! He put me at ease with equal amounts of sensitivity and his infectious sense of humour, as I was nervous due to having thinning hair and hoping for Grant to work his magic, and he did this in spades! It’s clear the stylist love working here and there is a great atmosphere. I felt uplifted and with more confidence by the time I left.

I am not a person that enjoys the experience of having my haircut. But today, I felt so at ease having my haircut, thanks to the staff. Love my hairdo! The experience is one I will definitely do again.

Last cut was just before lockdown October 2020. My hair is long, thick, frizzy and wavy. Once again, Grant worked his magic and has given me lovely, manageable and stylish hair. They are a great team at Jelly Beanz, the whole experience is fun and relaxing. Thank you Grant and all at Jelly Beanz
