If, like me, you love your naturally curly coiled locks, a visit to a hair salon can be a bit nerve wracking unless you’re lucky enough to get a stylist who really understands cutting, drying and colouring curls and has the confidence and patience to style it. My last visit was to Alfie T and can recommend, especially if you have natural curls.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable early morning appointment with lovely Danielle who put my hair up for a wedding. She make me feel amazing and my hair was perfect, th curls lasted all day and my hair looked good the next day, all wavy with a few ringlets. The reception staff were really lovely and made a fuss of me! They helped me chose a blusher from the make up counter and Danielle put it on for me. Thankyou everyone, especially Danielle for making this wedding such a special occasion

Enjoyable experience. Claire is a good stylist and good at chosing colours and shimmers. Enjoyed the back massage whilst having my hair washed just missed the fish projection on the wall.

Despite the fact Alfie is an amazing hair technician, I did feel he wasn’t given enough time to spend on me and I feel my hair was rushed a little. The time and attention given didn’t feel personal (not Alfie’s fault) and if I had to round it up in a phrase how I felt when I was in the salon was “sensory overload”. There was far too much going on, too noisy and not a relaxing atmosphere at all. The only part I did like was the massage chair but they kept putting the bright lights on above and spoiling the relaxing atmosphere. I do feel awful having to say all this because I’ve always been to Alfie because he’s good at what he does and he’s such a beautiful person but I’m afraid my experience of the Salon (not Alfie) and what I paid for that has left me not wanting to return unfortunately.

Deana was amazing as always- I wouldn’t have my hair done by anyone else.

Need new teapots and cups as the ones I were given looked filthy!

Danielle made my hair look amazing, she gave me excellent advice about my highlights. It’s lovely to have someone you can trust who will always do her very best for you and your hair. She’s incredibly kind and friendly. I look forward to seeing her. Ruby did my eye brows, and gave me a pedicure and manicure and she made me feel thoroughly spoilt. I’ll definitely book in with her again. Fabulous experience all round!

Beauty Department, is the best in the whole area ❤️. Had shellac colour fingers and toes. Yana is absolutely brilliant, what can I say can't recommend highly enough.

As always, an excellent experience and I left looking glamorous.

Had my hair pin curled in the afternoon ready for going out in the evening Was just how I wanted it and stayed in all night. Always get a great service at Jo & Cass.

Deanna has been expertly cutting my hair for well over 15 years. During that time, she has been unfailingly kind and professional. She has always listened to what I wanted, and I have always left the salon feeling happy with the cut and colour. My last visit was no exception. I hope she never retires!

Such a relaxing environment, I was made to feel very special, offering drinks Latte, Prosecco etc ? Ellie spent time discussing what I would like and what coloured highlights. What a wonderful result from an experienced stylist, amazing cut, beautiful colours. Thanks Ellie I feel 20 years younger. I will definitely be booking in again soon with you ?

Had such a lovely experience getting my hair done. Ellie was extremely knowledgeable and showed me the colour chart and helped me choose the right colour. Had a lot of people comment how lovely my new hair looked on my night out. The prosecco was a fantastic added treat.
The young girl who washed my hair was also outstanding and the head masaage was truly relaxing. Wonderful experience

Yet again Danielle has coloured and cut my hair wonderfully x I always go to Danielle, she knows just what I want and I trust her to do the magic. David always gives the very best service. He always listens to requests and delivers with great professional flair.

David never fails to cut my hair with the precision it requires. I have very straight hair and it's unforgiving to cut. Over many years I can truthfully say I have been happy with every cut.

As always, Faye discusses how I want my hair to look, giving good advice on colour and aftercare. I always leave the salon feeling great.

From walking in to walking out was such a lovely experience. Friendly staff to greet you and my hair stylist is such a lovely lady. She washed and restyled my hair into a bob which I absolutely love. It’s perfect and she’s wonderful. ☺️❤️
P.S my hair is natural grey now so wouldn’t ever need a colour.
