Natalie offered excellent advice on how to disguise my post partum hair loss, and then transformed my hair into something beautiful! I'm absolutely thrilled, and have received lots of compliments. I honestly can't recommend Heir enough! The salon is lovely, clean, and has a really chilled vibe with friendly staff.
Absolutely lovely experience. Jess was so friendly and explained everything I needed to do to upkeep my gorgeous new hair do!. Rest of the team was equally as kind and I can't wait to come back!
Had my first visit since lockdown and could not be more delighted! Kim listened and cut my hair perfectly- it is quite thick and was weighted down. She cut it shorter with a more precision style which turned out perfectly.

Best hair cut in a long time! Absolutely 5* service! I have very thick hair and it was so dead and awful split ends, and they totally made it brand new! So patient and kind. The weight has gone, its styled lovely- it looks dreamy! Easy conversation, beautiful products used and so professional! Definitely recommend to anyone, especially if you're nervous! Great value for money as well x

Such an amazing salon! After my first consultation I was made to feel comfortable while being given the best advice for my hair type. Didn’t get even close to what I asked for. 3 different people touched my hair. Very rough blow dry ripping my hair out. Wasn’t asked if it looked okay or if I was happy about the result.

As discussed in the salon, we realise that you did not get the results you were expecting and I am glad to have the opportunity to explain this again.
As a salon we pride ourselves on being specialists in colour services and the condition of our client’s hair is always at the forefront of our minds when booking any technical service.
After a full and thorough investigation into your services last Thursday and leading up to your appointment, I can see that you had numerous consultations with our colour specialist who had repeatedly advised you to use strengthening treatments on your hair before she would commit to achieving the blonde shade you had requested.
I can also see from your history, that the colourist had also previously refused to lift your hair until it was in better condition.
As far as I can see; both you and the colourist had a plan to tackle the condition of your hair before committing to the colour, to ensure you eventually achieved a healthy clean blonde.
I see that the colourist in question, who was following salon guidelines, did a strand test before committing to the colour service. This was done to ensure that she could lift your hair without compromising the condition, as well as achieve the desired shade without getting any unexpected results. This test was carried out a few weeks before your appointment.
Once this strand test was done and the results were good, your colour appointment was then booked, with the advice for you to continue with strengthening treatments at home before the appointment. The correct services and time were booked in the diary, and the colourist was confident that she would be able to start you on a journey to achieve a beautiful, healthy blonde result.
Again, it is evident to me that you were aware of the planned process, and knew that you had been made to wait for this appointment due to the condition of your hair.
On the day of your appointment, problems arose, purely as a result of you using non-professional at home toning kits after your successful strand test.
Unfortunately as you did not disclose this information at the beginning of your appointment and the home colour was not visible on the outside layer of your hair, as soon as the colourist started to lift your hair, she started to get an unexpected result.
Realising this, she rinsed the product immediately, to stop the lifting process and prevent any unrecoverable damage to your hair.
The colourist, luckily, acted very quickly to avoid breakage but of course, the colour was compromised and it was impossible to achieve the desired shade as planned.
I am really pleased that she followed all of the salon guidelines and acted very quickly to remove the product from your hair. Again this demonstrates her professionalism and dedication to the colour service. Even though this resulted in a shade which you were not satisfied with.
Strand tests are incredibly important when planning a colour service, especially when there is a history of previous home colours and compromised condition.
Of course, having an unexpected colour result puts considerable pressure on any colourist. We would always follow salon and manufacturers guidelines to avoid a situation like this. As your appointment was a couple of weeks before Christmas, just after a national lockdown, when the salon was extremely busy and during a time when we have to follow stringent guidelines regarding appointment times and social distancing, all of this put considerable pressure on the colourist, who acted correctly and professionally to neutralise the unwanted tone in your hair as well as maintain the condition.
I am very confident to say that had she known you had compromised the colour of your hair, after the strand test, she would not have committed to the colour services without once again doing another strand test.
The colourist in question prides herself on being professional and an expert at colour services and tried her hardest to ensure that you did not leave with a brassy or khaki tone, in a now limited appointment time, knowing that you had a special occasion coming up.
In terms of having 3 different team members, I am pleased to see that the team all pulled together to help the colourist in rectifying the unexpected result, whilst trying to keep to the correct appointment time to avoid overcrowding in the salon.
Yes, I completely agree that you did not get the results you wanted, however this was not due to negligence from any of the team at HEIR.
The colour specialist gave correct advice, which she expected would be followed, given that up until that point, you had followed all of the advice to improve the condition and integrity of your hair.
She correctly treated the condition of the hair, before trying to lift.
She did a strand test to ensure the condition would not be compromised. The appointment was booked correctly, with the correct time, following a successful strand test.
If the at home advice had been followed then the colour would have been achieved.
As a team, it is disappointing when we hear that we have an unhappy customer, we are a family business and customer satisfaction is very important to us. It is therefore a shame when we come across a rare situation like this.

I am the most indecisive person and I never really know what I want. Natalie C always has a good chat first and comes up with a solution, she has such good knowledge and I trust her completely. Kym is fantastic, she listens and advises. She’s been doing my hair for four years now and my only regret is that I didn’t go to her earlier. The Salon is a very safe place to be at the moment, PPE, social distancing and sanatising is spot on. All the staff are doing a great job in difficult times.
