Extremely happy with my hair cut by Kim this evening

Kim is a great stylist - I've only just transferred to her and it was like she had been looking after me for ages!

I came for the first time to Saks Lytham. The staff were all lovely, the service was great and I loved my hair. I think the only thing that let Saks down for me was the salon itself. Straight away I noticed that it was very plain and dingy and there was no real decor. I was offered a hot drink which didn't come with a biscuit. The bathroom was dark and was not clean. There was one shared hand towel which I think for a bathroom used frequently is unhygienic. There was only soap in the bathroom and no hand moisturiser. A revamp and a few decorative touches would definitely make Saks a lot more inviting and welcoming. When I looked at the Saks website before I booked my appointment, I got the impression that Sacks was a luxury hair salon. This was not the vibe I got when I saw the salon itself. Considering the prices at Saks, I definitely expected more from the salon. I was very impressed with my hair and was very well looked after by the lovely staff, but I do think the salon itself also greatly contributes to my overall experience as a client and for me this is what let Saks down.

I'd been to this Saks before to have my hair done and had been really pleased with the experience. Due to a special offer I thought I'd have HD brows and LVL lashes. The woman who did the treatments smelt like cigarettes and this was really off putting. The treatments themselves seemed to be fine although having had HD brows done before I expected them to be threaded and trimmed, not just waxed and plucked. Despite this what I expected to take 45mins to an hr took over 1.5hrs. I was also surprised that she powdered in my brows before she showed them to me. All became clear when I removed my make up later that evening. One brow was far too thin and the other had a great big patch in the top of it. Frankly I'm devestated. It obviously took ages because the beautician knew she'd ruined them and was trying to fix them. The LVL was unimpressive at first but after a couple of days when I could put mascara on my lashes did look epic and have stayed put for weeks.
It's a shame that she couldn't have been honest about the mistake she'd made with my brows - perhaps some agreement could have been made and I'd feel confident returning. However I'll be looking for a new salon after this experience.

Love having my hair done by Natalie a new senior stylist to Saks. I previously had my hair coloured and cut by her at another salon and when I found out that she had moved to Saks I had to follow.

Absolutely fab! Can't fault the whole experience, loved my stylist (Kim) & she's done a perfect job of my hair! Very happy!

I love getting my hair done here! SAKS is the only hairdressers I've been to where I've been extremely happy with my hair every time I get it done. The staff are lovely.

I have been having my hair cut at Lytham Saks for two years.
My regular hairdresser has left , so today I had a new hairdresser , called Jemma, who actually started today.
I was a bit anxious, as we all are with a new stylist, but I needn't have worried. To be honest she gave me the best cut I've had for a long time. She is very careful, and seemed to 'get' what I wanted. I'm really thrilled with my cut. Thank you Jemma...please pass on my comments to her.

I can't recommend Saks Lytham highly enough . From the moment you walk in the door to such a warm and friendly welcome . I'm always advised so perfectly by all the highly experienced staff on my hair colour and cut options but what stands out the most is their customer service . Usually bringing kids on hair appointments fills the salon with a look of dread (and rightly so ha) but every time I've had to bring my daughters with me they are Welcomed in with open arms . A very family friendly salon !!! A credit to have in Lytham !!

I had booked in for a half head of headlights on the 28th June. I had told the stylist that I'd wanted to go significantly lighter, but she suggested that we do this gradually. Assuring me that I'd notice a difference, I decided to follow her advice, notwithstanding the fact that I've been into a salon before as a natural brunette and they've been able to get my whole head of hair significantly lighter. That's how I wanted it. The stylist was chatty and friendly, and I trusted her. When she took the foils off, initially my heart sank, and I had a feeling she had picked up on the fact that you could (initially) barely see a difference. However, once it was styled and curled, the colour came through underneath, and under the salon lights looked a little lighter and I was happy. When I got out the salon in natural light, I could see a little difference, but not a lot. Bearing in mind I have paid less for a colour and blow dry and it's looked a lot better than this. I thought that price was synonymous with quality,, and because I was colouring my hair, I was prepared to pay more. Less than a week on and despite being told sunkissed looking blonde highlights at the front of the head can look tacky, I've got two EVEN WORSE LOOKING bright blonde stripes either side of my parting, which don't match the rest of the colour underneath, but two stripes at the top of my head?? The ironic if the tacky comment. I now have to brush them over and not have a side parting: I've paid nearly £100 for that privilege! Yes it looked okay in the salon, but once in natural light and at home, I could barely tell the difference, despite bein. Promised I would. The minute the stylist told me they can't do something others have achieved brilliantly - i.e. lighten and maintain the condition of me hair - I should have gone to one of the other many salons across Lytham St Annes. Needless to say, I've learnt my lesson. I'm a business owner myself, so originally I was reluctant to provide a review, but honestly I'm so gutted and disappointed I fel

Had a lovely visit to Saks with Steph who cut and dried my hair. Enjoyed the hairwash very much too.

Great service, really happy with my highlights and cut. Lovely ladies who work there. Lovely salon, looking forward to the new nail/lashes bar etc.
I do think it is a bit excessive charging extra for a toner on top of the colour. My opinion is that it should just be included in the price of a colour as it is all part of the colouring process.
Only scored a four on cleanliness because I thought the mat near the door could do with changing, it was caked in hair.
Would recommend.

If it wasn't for Stephen, I'm afraid I wouldn't come again. There seems to be little structure or organisation. There was no one on reception when I arrived. The atmosphere is oppressive. The salon lacks a sense of fun.
