Hi Amanda, firstly thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Georgia and our team.
You have mentioned your disappointment in not receiving a drink while the colour is being applied. As I’m sure you will understand, there are reasons behind offering drinks when you can enjoy them, while your colour is developing and we don’t require your head to be still and in certain positions. (You can ask for your drink earlier if you require that and we will be happy to assist).
I would also like to say, I understand that the cost of living at present is a strain to many households and you can see where the extra costs come from. Well, as a business, we also have had the exact same rise in the everyday running costs of our salon. Including staffing costs. Our staff are paid well, you will also see we have a large number of salon support staff(apprentices), they are the future hairdressers and assist in the smooth running of the salon. Many salons do not employ Apprentices and will possibly be a cheaper option.
All of our Team are employed, this is a large factor in our pricing.
We are also VAT registered, 20% of your bill goes to HMRC.
You will understand that your appointment was almost 4 hours long. This is also a factor of pricing.
We appreciate you as a client and I’m thrilled to see you appreciate the skill of our well trained staff. We invest hugely in on going training and in my opinion have a team of stylists to be proud of. I will pass on your review to Georgia and explain the reasons you have marked down the experience, as I wouldn’t want Georgia to take this personally.
We have a software system, which I’m afraid I cannot alter what you can see, to inform you of your cost of service. You can call the salon before you arrive to ask if you prefer to.
Our prices are due to be adjusted shortly, we have held back as much as we can, our suppliers have risen prices too and utilities etc.
I hope I have answered your private feedback as best I can and you can understand our business model more. There are other salons that may be suited more to your financial expectations. At Stones we try to give a premium service and premium hairdressing skills. This all has a financial cost which is reflected in our pricing.
