Aura Hair & Beauty Academy

This was my first appointment at Aura. I wanted a cheaper cut and if it helps out a new stylist, all the better. Altogether, my cut and blow dry plus restyling was £30 which, for the end result, was well worth the price.

The hairdresser (I forget her name unfortunately but she had red hair) was very chatty and talked me through the whole process and asked my opinions throughout.

I asked about the environmental policies as this was also a major factor as to why I chose this salon. Unfortunately, the hairdresser told me that the multi-use and recycling procedures (including hair recycling) had been scrapped as it was not cost effective. This is understandable, but given that this is advertised majorly on their website, it's disappointing.
Speaking of the website, if you go to the current page, it is grossly out of date. Not only does it make mention of the above eco practices, but the prices are out of date. A restyle is £30, not £15.

The salon was lovely and clean. Very spacious too.

All in all, I will come back and do recommend it, but the website does need updating so as not to mislead customers.

My first visit to Aura Hair & Beauty Salon. Very impressed with the facilities and surrounding environment. All the students appeared to be engaged in various tasks, in a professional, friendly manner.
Felt it must have been quite daunting for Ashley to cut my hair, but she did a great job, and I felt pleased to have be able to contribute towards her becoming an excellent hairdresser!

Unfortunately therapist dropped stones on floor during hot stone massage, no real pressure or effort was given throughout massage, music turned off when therapist left room… not worth the money

I’m leaving this review on behalf of my daughter who got her hair done today.
Her hair looks beautiful and she had a good experience today.
However I would also like to point out that she has had previous appointments cancelled multiple times. As my daughter is 17 years old and does not drive, I take her to and from various appointments.
I have scheduled time to take my daughter for a patch test at your salon, time and date arranged over the phone, only to arrive and the salon was closed. Also last Saturday I dropped her off at the train station, then arrived back at my home (6 miles away) to receive a call saying her appointment was cancelled so I had to go back and collect her! Not good as I was scheduled at work.
I would not be making a complaint about your service but I received an email asking for a review.
If you are prepared to take time off work to have an appointment cancellation then crack on. If not then go somewhere else.

Had some fresh colour put in and a toner to brighten up my hair and give it a natural blended look. Plenty of thought and time taken to get this just right, fabulous result!

Holly transformed my ugly looking dull hair into something amazing. She made me feel relaxed and I had confidence in her skills.

Great value and service and my hair looks and feels amazing. Very sweet hairdressers and perfect prices for students. It’s one of the best hairdressers I’ve been to and I’ve been to quite a few but Aura Lincoln is my fave as I’ve been back quite a few times. I’d 100% recommend.

My first experience of a Haircut in a Real Salon scenario was a positive one. Having had my own Hairstylist Salon in Roehampton London, for a few years from late 1963, I have been a willing & enthusiastic Customer @ the College in Monks Road for well over 15 years, giving Students experience of a real Customer & was always satisfied. My experience & treatment @ the new 'AURA' was equally a pleasure. Polite, attentive & friendly Staff, a good haircut with shampoo & head massage from Kate, plus the Professional checks from the attentive Tutor, gave full confidence. The instant offer a coffee on my arrival was very pleasant. A good experience all round from all concerned starting with Holly on Reception, in a very attractive Salon...thank you. I will certainly see you again, & recommend you to others. Truly John Allison.

I am very pleased with the result of my gel pedicure. Unfortunately, I had only been booked in for a pedicure and so the following appointment after we had to be cancelled to enable the beautician to accommodate me. I was also a little shocked at the price, as when I booked over the telephone, I was told it would be cheaper, however staff were very understanding and matched the price I was given on the telephone

Excellent service, very friendly, professional and extremely pleased with my hair. Highly recommended

Excellent training facility for hairdressing students but also commercial enterprise with excellent service, talented staff and very good prices.

Very professional, very knowledgeable, very friendly.

My hair hadn’t been cut since before lockdown and was in need of a cut and restyle.
Jo listened to what I style I was wanting and made suggestions. I also ended up with a mauve toner that coloured my grey. It was subtle be present and added impact to the excellent cut.
This is a training salon for Lincoln College and we should support the up and coming hairdressers in our area.
