We were initially meant to have an appointment with a different stylist but as they were running late we were offered a different stylist to avoid my little boy having to wait. He hates getting his hair cut and Rachael was patient and understanding. Very happy with his hair cut today!

It was my first time at Chapter One today and I loved it!! It felt so professional and all the staff were so lovely and my hair looks beautiful now! Would definitely recommend.

First time here and it was a such a lovely experience. I normally dread getting my hair cut but I really enjoyed my visit to Chapter One! Niki was just brilliant, everyone I spoke to was super friendly. Particularly enjoyed the relaxing head massage. Thank you, I’ll be back soon.

When one goes to the hairdressers one should leave feeling happy, relaxed and feeling great. Not the case at Chapter One. I left feeling robbed, cheated and completely misinformed. Granted I had been at the salon a few times but had been treated by my mother so did not know costs involved. On the website it clearly stated Regrown and 8 Foils £59. When I phoned to booked my appointment I double checked the price with the girl on the phone who confirmed £59. My ‘consultation’ lasted all of 30 seconds and there was the definite impression that ***** was in a rush. When she finished with the tinting and foils she kindly asked if I wanted any magazines then promptly disappeared and forgot all about the magazines. Toner was applied afterwards then my hair dried. When I came to pay I was shocked to learn it would be £83 when I challenged this they asked who booked the appointment on the phone when I said I was quoted £59. Turns out you have to pay an extra for hair drying and for toner. I was never informed of this and it turns out the young lady who booked me in works in beauty and I quote ‘doesn’t know anything about hair costs’. I received a call today to inform me that since I wanted foils toner was required at an additional cost - I know nothing about the technicalities of hair dying and it is not clear on the website that this is an additional cost. It clearly states on the website Regrowth and foils £59. And paying to have your hair dried after they get it wet? A joke. You have most definitely lost my business and as a result the business of my mother too. You misinform your customers and cheat them out of their hard earned money by not making additional costs clear on your website and I suggest training your staff better if they are to be responsible for taking bookings.

As always a great visit to the salon, a lovely treat on a saturday morning.

Ellie is an excellent hairdressers who explains clearly the procedures and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with colour choices, products and cut. I always leave feeling she has listened and the results are outstanding.
I would have no hesitation recommending Ellie and Chapter One as one of the best hairdresser I have visited.

Emma is so lovely and has been such a great help to me over past few months due to a skin condition on my scalp. . I have been able to get my hair coloured again today plus my normal cut and it is so nice. Emma always does a great job.

Just had another fantastic experience at Chapter One again. Firstly Heather was amazing with my colour and is a fountain of knowledge with colour giving me advice then making me feel at ease while colouring my hair. Emma Thomson then cut and styled my hair. Emma listened to what I was thinking of cut wise and again gave me lots of advice on how my hair would look after cutting and giving different scenarios depending on the cuts I was thinking about. Always a great experience from the moment you arrive you are greeted with a lovely smile from Laura and all the assistants to the lovely coffee and cordials you are offered and also the amazing head massage just bliss
