Situated in the heart of Dalkeith lies our flagship Eskbank salon, offering a welcoming, enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere to all who visit. Located within a beautiful corner space (which was previously a garage!), our Chapter One Hair Spa is a destination like no other. Our stylish salon offers fabulous hair expertise whilst also being the home of our dedicated nail technician, LVL lash technician, as well as our beautiful, relaxing beauty spa with two beauty treatment rooms and beauty experts. Chill out with a visit at the start of the week or soak up the bustle of this busy salon as we get you ready for the weekend. Private parking is available on site just metres away from the salon means you can easily visit us any day of the week.

Firstly, apologies as I don’t know the surname of Rachel (from the Eskbank salon). Following a disastrous DIY fringe disaster and frantically needing it fixed, I managed to get an appointment with Rachel. The experience couldn’t have been better. Rachel was able to reassure me the disaster was fixable and easily hidden with some cutting and shaping. Rachel more than delivered and I left feeling great and loved the cut! The amazing head and shoulder massage was second to none.
Coincidentally, Rachel, was my original stylist and it her skill and personality made Chapter One my go to.

Living in East Lothian it made sense to use the Haddington salon. Again, I was so fortunate to hve James cut and style my hair.- again a fantastic experience.

I cannot praise Chapter One enough. Everyone is so lovely, welcoming and more importantly, the highly skilled team really listen to what you want and offer advice and tips to try and help you recreate their lovely styles.

My favourite salon by far and I wish I could actually tick more stars.

First trip to a hairdressers in over a decade, so was pretty anxious. And my hair had certianly seen better days! Everyone was so warm and friendly and genuinely interested in me and giving me the best experience. Niki worked absolute wonders on my hair, and I can't even believe the difference she has made in just one visit! She talked everything through with me and came up with a great practical plan to fix my hair and make it easy to maintain (it was a colour correction, after years of home box dyes) Made me feel so comfortable throughout and loved every minute. Can't wait to come back!

I did enjoy it and I had Rachael from esk bank and the cut was perfect and colour was fine but your pricing had me gobsmacked sorry I’m not sure if I would pay this again I’d maybe just come back in for the haircut which I was over the moon with and Rachael was lovely ?and your 2 trainee girls were superb ?just to say I only wanted to see the difference between a lower cost hairdresser compared with your prices because it’s obv a big difference but the girls are all nice and friendly

Located within a beautiful corner space (which was previously a garage!), our Chapter One Hair Spa is a destination like no other. Our stylish salon offers fabulous hair expertise whilst also being the home of our dedicated nail technician, LVL lash technician, as well as our beautiful, relaxing beauty spa with two beauty treatment rooms and beauty experts. Chill out with a visit at the start of the week or soak up the bustle of this busy salon as we get you ready for the weekend. Private parking is available on site just metres away from the salon means you can easily visit us any day of the week.
