My first time at the salon today and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Booked the appointment due to a recent colour disaster! Booked in for a re-style with Jess, who carried out an initial consultation as moving from medium length hair to a more manageable short cut. I had a couple of men’s photos on my phone for her to try and emulate. After a relaxing 45 minutes my hair had been transformed into a very stylish cut.

As usual Louise made a really good job of cutting my hair. The only thing that would improve the service in my opinion would be a ramp between the different floor heights. The sloppy floor and steps are really hazardous for me, with arthritis or clients in a wheelchair.

Having moved to the area recently, I wanted to choose the right salon and the right stylist. From the moment I walked into Contemporary Salons Guisborough it was clear that the customer experience was the number one priority. All of the staff I have spoken to are friendly, efficient and keen to put you at ease. Claire has demonstrated the highest degree of professionalism and technical skill, whilst really listening to my thoughts on how my hair should look. The results speak for themselves. It's years since I've been this happy about my hair. I couldn't ask for more.

Louise always gives me the best attention possible. She takes care when cutting my hair that it is perfect and just what I asked for. She is always chatty and understanding. My hair always looks impeccable when I leave the salon.

Phil is a lovely, chatty, funny stylist. I booked a cut and blowdry and he spoke to me throughout the process to ensure I was happy with everything he did. I've always had a full fringe but had been maintaining this myself through the pandemic like so many others, so it had grown out. I'm growing my hair so just wanted a couple of inches off and the fringe back in. We agreed on a very 'Florence Welch' look and he put in some lovely waves for me.
They also made me a cup of tea and Phil stopped occasionally so I could have a few sips and a break from my mask. All staff in the salon wore masks at all times and there were screens between each seat. I'm absolutely thrilled with Phil's skills and I've certainly found my new hairdresser, thank you!

I had my first visit to Contemporary Salons on the 7th June and am really pleased I chose them. Louise was lovely and put me at ease straight away. She helped me with colours and style as I was going for a restyle and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely chat and Louise spent a long time cutting my hair, great attention to detail.
