Megan did a good job of sorting out a horrendously crappy haircut - one of many received from various salons in cumbria over the last 4 years! We went back to basics with a short and heavily layered and textured style which can be tweaked and refined over the coming months to get to where I really want to be.

I reallyadmire Claire. She so ways to get my fine fringe right. She even took time a few weeks ago to watch the owner, John do it in a blow dry.

She also shows real interest in you as a person. I enjoy her upbeat approach to life.

Was looking for a hair cute pretty much straight away as I was on my lunch break and had a family meal.. got looked after by the staff which were very helpful and got my booked in there and then!! Megan who did my hair did a great job!

As always I am delighted with my cut and colour. John gets it right every time and instinctively knows what colour suits a client.

I came into the salon to get my hair lightened to a golden tone, but came away with almost black hair. The reason given was ‘Asian hair is difficult to lift’, which frankly I think is a very tactless thing to say to a customer, making me feel as though it’s my fault. There was very little apology, one mild one at the end. I’m aware that mistakes happen, but the way you rectify them is crucial and whilst I was offered another appointment, I am not sure I feel comfortable coming in again. As a side note, I noticed that other customers were being offered a drink, but I was not and I was passed around different assistants, which seemed a bit chaotic. Today’s appointment was very below standards as far as hair appointments go.

John, the owner usually does my hair but Jodie who gave me a blow dry made sure she knew how l liked my hair styled and my preferred products.Great job. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend Saks.

Finding a new hairdresser in a new area that you feel comfy with and immediately get that spark of trust with is hit and miss but when you do finally find that awesome hairdresser they have the power and skill to make you feel just amazing ! Thank you!

My first visit to Saks I saw Claire and she restored my faith in hairdressers after a bad experience stopped me going to get my hair done professionally. Now I feel confident that I can have regular hair appointments without worrying about it going wrong! Thank you so much will definitely be returning!

Absolutely wonderful. Claire does my hair and she is superb! Her colouring skills are second to none, and she actually listens to what you want cut wise and delivers just that. My stylist Claire was very professional and friendly . She sat down with me and talked through what she thought and suggested ideas for my cut . I was very pleased with the result and have already made an appointment to go back and have my colour done with her .

I had my hair cut by Megan today. She remembered how she'd cut my hair earlier this year, which was good because I felt really good with that cut back then and yesterday I wanted to do pretty much the same. So all in all I'm really happy with the result. I believe Saks is worth recommending, it's a welcoming place with pleasant music, coffee and people who do listen to you. And... on top of that you can have yoir head massaged :)

The best haircut I have ever had and I’m not just saying that, I have never been so happy with my hair. The service was outstanding and such lovely staff. I really felt like I was in the best hands and Claire was absolutely amazing. I won’t be going anywhere else for my haircuts now!
